He, they or them (carnt tell what) are pr*tts no doubt but to be honest I cannot be the only one that thinks that his postings did nothing but show the 0800/DASA connection in the poorest light possible.
Or I might just be alone on this one :eeek:

I know exactly what you mean but, please dont set your standards at the level of some of those around you!
The said private messaging hasnt been sent to all posters on this thread becaused I have posted three times in it and havent received it, now I wonder why?
I dont doubt for one iota that it was sent to all and sundry, it demonstrates how busy he is with work that he can spend as much time on this thread and sending PM’s as he is.
Personally, I think by allowing him to post as we have, and the posting of the message he sent privately to posters allows the whole world to see what he is like and I dont think from the PM’s I have received he has done much to forward his cause, in fact, I think he has pushed himself into a corner he would really perfer not to be in, but that was his choice.
At the end of the day, UKW can be open as we have on all subjects or it can go down the DASA route of having a closed forum. Now given that DASA have advised they only want to communicate matters within their own group and not the industry as a whole then let them, just dont go down that route please.

Can I add to this to help quantify and clarify a position here regarding posts being censored.
it is possible to have a users account “moderated”, this means before a post can appear on a thread, it needs to be released by a moderator.
The mikeday0800 user name was switched to moderated status because of the nature of the postings being made and the suspicion by me that the account was very specifically being used by mutliple users which is contrary to the rules of this site which every single user is required to both agree to at the outset of their membership and whilst they continue to wish to use the site.
I have repeatedly reviewed and inspected the posts by this user and have released ALL of them accordingly.
I have not editted, deleted or refused to allow any genuine post by the named user. The moderators of this site, some of whom are DASA members, some of whom are not, some of whom are JTM/0800 agents, some of whom are not, are able to view the moderator logs and see the truth of these alleged editing/censoring incidents.
I would print those logs myself for all to see but unfortunately they dont exist as the posts have not been censored/edited.
I think it is plain and clear to see throughout the thread itself that the Site Admin has been specifically targetted by the user named. Ask yourself this question, if we are editting or censoring the user named, why would we allow some of these IMHO slanderous and outragous posts to go live in the first place and allow them to remain on the site for all to see?
Finally, for the sake of clarity, ANY user breaching the posting rules of this site, will be subject to the same actions by any of my fellow moderators.
Now, please be nice to each other 😀

Amica service – whats going on?!… anyone help?
One problem of course is for those of us whom are multi skilled to do the electric appliances as well as refrigeration systems and be gas safe registered is we see precious little of the easy electrical work as it is retained by the seller service guys and yet we are expected to travel the distance to cover the difficult more specialist repairs for no extra.
Perhaps a system where the specialist engineer gets all the work, gas, systems and electrical would ensure all calls get covered but obviously that would impact on the seller service guys whom might not want to sell the product in the first place.
No criticism of the posters on this thread but it might explain the reasoning behind an agents reticence about attending this type of call. I know I wouldn’t want to travel too far to cover a solitary gas call if the electrical work wasn’t coming my way as well.

Basically your correct, companies cannot hide behind such disclaimers and legislation exists under the Unfair Contract Terms Act of 1977 and the Unfair Terms In Consumer Contract Regualtions of 1999.
With regards to comments and postings on websites, pretty much anything can be posted by anyone without recourse back to the site owners, however, the content must be legal, not slanderous or liabilious, nor should it identify individuals WITHOUT their permission. Where posters break these requirements, the site owners are required to take all reasonable steps to remove/amend the offending material from the posters remarks, once notified. Its one of the reasons some members/posters identification details are annoyomous to the rest of us, its not the site being awkward, its the owners of the site complying with the law.

What I don’t understand is why if you don’t like the UKW site or the WTA do you keep on coming back to it?
I bet he has a little yellow van, a little yellow bedroom where he spends his time a little yellow laptop and lots of little yellow sores on his hand.

I apologise for my bruntness in the 0800 thread some days ago, but his statement is wrong on so many fronts so I ID’d myself as the agent he was slagging off.
I nor JTM have any knowledge of a complaint whatsoever and having challenged Lee8 to provide any details either openly or by PM he chose not to, because I think he was making it all up.
I know he comes for the CF area and JTM advised me they think they know whom he is and if they are correct, then he was an agent of theres some time ago but they sacked him because of a number of unsafe repairs and poor workmanship. I beleive he is purely here to tarnish their name.
He alos posted regarding Fix Zone Software suggesting they might have an issue regarding whom owns it. I can catergorically state Fixzone own it as I know two of the software coders whom write it and I know they own the proprietory rights to it. He is just trying to tarnish a name.

IMHO your a s£&” stirrer and nothing more, and I suspect one whom has been sacked by JTM or worse still one whom wasnt good enough to be an agent in the first place.

Lee8, I don’t believe you. I am the agent for 0800 repair and JTM in Ades area so give me the customers details to verify your claims or remove them.
I am not aware of any compliant outstanding or otherwise and we have not completed any job recently involving a repair as you describe.
Given your previous on other threads regarding your thoughts about 0800 and JTM are you sure your not just expanding reality to fit an argument you want to make
I look forward to receipt of the details or retraction of what I consider a liabilous comment.

Yes they have.
Companies house shows the Deppers et al took over 29/07/11, with the previous directors being terminated at the same time.
Price paid unknown.
Given all the other web business they do, this cannot be anything else but to shut another avenue down and extend further into the dominence of the market place, in particular to extend directly into the end user market.
