    Re: ISE Email down?

Logged in to my Vrigin/Ntl account and tried sending from there, bounced back. For your IT bods info, message as below

“Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    admin AT iseappliances.co.uk

    Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.7.1 Spam rejected (BD#114) (state 18).”

The email has a normal heading and no rude words that I am aware of 🙂

    Re: ISE Email down?

From work it is getting bounced back as undeliverable, and our IT said it was because your server did not like our spam host Appriver that we currently use for outgoing as well as incoming mail. IT said “Certain mail servers have tagged Appriver servers as black-list domains. Appriver are looking into it now, so should resolve in a few days.”

But then I tried sending from home from my Ntl account and it would not go through either – but it is just stuck in my Outbox, and I did not get any sort of error message. But it sounds like it is more me than you if yours is working ok.

    Cheers.

Re: ISE 10 – First Thoughts

GaryB2 thanks for this post I missed it. Thought I’d reply as comments are appreciated and always pleased to hear good things about the ISE10. I am thinking of getting the current model.

I guess you have had the waste sorted now, the delivery people could have been a bit more helpful. But maybe they aren’t “allowed” to meddle with the pipe.

Re: ISE 10 Eco wash too long

Apologies to Kwatt, the manual for the new washer is indeed online for any one who is interested in the various options it has:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/downloads … W{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}20EN.pdf

Seems pretty cool, the options compared to our Tricity Bendix are mind bending. 😀 . Having options of temps and spin speeds within the different programs would take little while to get my head around (but is still a good thing, don’t get me wrong).

You should read the info about the 1607 first me thinks! As is states that the 1607 has a 40 wash that is shorter than almost any other A rated machine! Sounds good to me 🙂

Yes, I had already read the info, thanks.

Re: ISE 10 Eco wash too long

    :waving: Kwatt

Above you posted this about the old ISE10 eco wash

“The eco wash only reduces the energy used by about 0.14Kw per cycle, or about 1.2 pence (at best) based on the current rate for a Kwh but the compromise is that, in order to save that energy, the wash cycle has to be extended to get the same wash results.”

and then said this about the new one:

“The eco side has been incorporated into every program now by default so you don’t need to select it, the machine just calculates that on the fly. “

A little confused, do we have to have a longer wash than we might otherwise have had? Until the manual is available we can’t check, sorry to keep firing questions at you. 🙂

Could you be just a tad more patronising, if i ask nicely?

Maybe a simple yes/no is too much to ask for? I think I raised 2 or 3 points in my post… :

Blimey, someone gives up their time to answer your first ever post (and answers it in 6 minutes!) and you thank them like that? Iadom has the patience of a saint, especially with his subsequent answer.

    Good luck with the repair.

    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

Thanks derbyhoppy. I appreciate things can take time and effort to set up. I also appreciate that very few businesses would even think about entering in to discussions like these with their customers, so whilst the circumstances are not ideal I absolutely applaud and respect you for that.

    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

    Kwatt,

Your prior brochure made a big big point of the fact that you had an insurance backed warranty. Have another read of it, in case you’ve forgotten. Now that you don’t have one, do you disagree with all that you previously said?

Yes you can play “what ifs” forever and the financial climate means you never know what is going to happen tomorrow but I only asked as we were told in the second post on this thread by your MD:

“On the advice of our accountant and lawyer we set up an ESCROW style account (similar to a company pension scheme) which we pay in to every time a machine is sold at the same level as we currently pay. We cannot touch this money and it is annually audited to ensure there is more than enough funds to cover our liability if we cease trading.”

If ISE can’t touch it but UKW can, then to me that is not ring fenced, that is all I am saying. We just want proper details of how the fund would be administered and by who. If the answer is UKW then fine but it is not quite how it was presented.

As the parent company, UK Whitegoods Limited would become the scheme administrator automatically and assume all responsibility.

    K.

Let us assume the parent goes bust taking the subsidiary with it. It may not be set up yet, but I thought the intention was to have these funds ring fenced and the responsibility of an independent third party?

    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

Kwatt said “We have confirmation of cover from the insurer and we have a policy reference for each machine covered should we ever have to lodge a claim”. Great, pass that information on to the people who have the machine and you have closed that can of worms on the old ISE10s. Easy. derbyhoppy has said similar since, and that deals with that if done as stated (derbyhoppy for the benefit of the thread can you disclose your connection with ISE/UKW? Thanks).

Ken no one suggested you were rude, that was a response to quickwash who has also agreed it may not have been best phrased. Peace and love all round.

I still want to buy my 1607 from/via Rons Repairs. (Not to confuse the issue but Ron said I would need to buy it from UKW and just pay him the install/delivery?) I’d just love to know a bit more about the self funded repair pot and who will administer it if the worst was to happen. As an early adopter it would also help to know that an amount to kick off the fund at day one was deposited eg even say £5000 would mean 20 x £125 call outs would be covered with £2500 left for the administrator.

    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

I don’t have one of the insurance backed warranty machines but I am sure having the broker details will be appreciated by people who do, cheers.

Quickwash in all the circumstances I think it has been very reasoned comments by posters overall.

    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

Sorry Kwatt, but for the ISE10 ISE1606W & ISE CD60W purchasers who it is in no doubt bought on the understanding that they had an insurance backed warranty you are either missing/avoiding/obfuscating the point.

Why don’t you get the insurance broker that earned money placing the warranty insurance to clearly explain the warranty cover, who it is with, who is covered, how they prove they are covered, and how to make a claim (and against who) should ISE fail?
