    Re: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts

l dont think so gav28 Have you worked for WP JTM ??, the excitement of whether you were gonna get the correct payments was always a gamble.. l know l was that soldier and a leopard dont change its spots!! also they send out parts invoiced when machines are exchanged via there good selves which again delays payments, its chaos.. You certainly cannot run a company with engineers with the unreliablity of payments coz you cannot trust the systems they run..just imagine not being able to pay your engineers correctly if the payments from the WP is chaotic No these WPs just cannot be trusted no matter what the so called leaders (suits) say, so thats why we need the independant engineers to say NO!!!

    Re: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts

Funkeyboogy… The quicker that engineers through out the United Kingdom say NO NO NO to these Work providers paying pittances, the better it will be ,then maybe the men in suits will get the message ,But engineers have to have the balls to do it!!!!

    Re: 0800 Repair

l would like to point out that this is a free Country and Free Speech is allowed!!!! l dont think the German guy Clive mentioned would have allowed this blog, anyway it was an 0800repair engineers van and gesture that started the furore Most engineers l know would not act like that in the piccy, especialy in a van with logos….Bit of a worry for those who work for JTM and that if 0800 dont like what you do,or say, you get thrown out ,but then again l suppose there are 100s of engineers applying for a franchise with 0800repair…

If l can make a comment here ,funkeyboogy, l dont think there is anything to worry about these franchises that are operating,Doris is always gonna use the local shop first and if thier local man cannot help out he will advise where to send he or she ,also l can remember repairing a toasters and kettles when locals brought em in to the shop alas now in this new age, parts are unavailble, maybe one day we will see 0800 repairing toaters etc Gosh that’ll be fun!!!

    Re: 0800 Repair

Hi Jackal, Yeah we do exactly the same. It was only a general viewpoint on the last post regarding cons!!, never did like that word!! Whilst we do realise from Mikes0800 view that JTM have to operate with a Margin which is fair ,but from the posts previously l got the impression that JTM were the holy grail of franchises and any Indie was considered the pits from some of the comments,By the way we here treat all our customers with total repect and as all our customers know big or small we have “A Go Baby Go” attitude

    Re: 0800 Repair

Am l allowed to make a comment here … as l am usually slagged off for my input.Regarding the JTM website they advertise that the Repair costs are £60.00 but every job we have recieved from JTM the customer has paid £88.00 so l am wondering now, can that be considered a con also when the invoice goes up to JTM for said calls it is for considerably less. l believe everybody has a opinion and hopefully we can read his or hers views without any malice

    Re: 0800 Repair

Oh dear oh dear l must have upset mikeday0800 Sorry about that, but you must have so much work on your hands with the work from JTM l find it amazing you have the time to read the threads here ,most engineers l speak to say that our trade is dying on its legs especially when ypu can buy a washing machine in Asda for around £150 Most customers will not have the machine repaired or pay high insurance cover They just chuck it.. when a problem arises… Lighten up, Mike.. l try and keep all my posts in a light hearted manner, also another question. Why is there no young people interested in our trade? Usually its because the money they can earn is so low.
