Re: Fisher and Paykel GW701 trouble spinning

These are nasty faults. It may be suspension or motor problems.
I have found the motor stator plastic hub sometimes cracks and this can lead to problems in this area.
I think maybe the stator flexes with the strong magnetic field.
Perhaps its time to call in a service company or replace the machine as this must be over ten years old.

When electronics “kick” motor clockwise & counterclockwise bowl must move 120 degrees in both directions. Operate lid switch manually in spin mode and check that this happens.

The OOB microswitch is a common electrical item. The reason they fail is due to condensation causing corrosion in the switch contacts. The replacement is a sealed switch (moulded with wiring) As this is an old machine and most likely nearing the end of its life, I would just replace with the same. As far as the overfilling goes you may have disturbed the air pressure hose for the transducer.
Make sure there is no water in the bowl remove the clear plastic hose from the module and blow through. Refit the hose and wash test. If you still have the overfilling problem its most likely you will have to replace the module.

Fan motor may have lost a blade. Depending on how old it is the later models had a superior motor and a beter suspension setup. If its an earlier model you can upgrade the FC fan assy to current specs.
    Motor is 12volts DC.
