    Re: GW609AU Error Code 00101011 (212?)

Where do you get 212 from, its binary, spin is (1) then each move to the left is doubled 2,4,8,16,32 and so on. You’ve got 32+8+2+1 =43
And that ends todays lesson. lol
Out of balance switch, do a search for OOB and you should find something.

I assume water is out. Tip machine on an angle, drain pump has a cooling fan, can you turn it, is it free? If it is tight or stuck you will need to remove pump from the bowl and clear obstruction. POWER OFF wiring is LIVE.

If you cant find anything wrong with the pump stand machine up again and plug in.

Press and hold wash temp down then press power. Release buttons. Display board will light up then mostly go off. Press regular button to power pump on, press again to power off. Does it run? If it doesn’t run then you will need to find someone who is able to test the pump out.

Just guessing but your plastic bag may have overloaded the pump circuit in the module. You will need to eliminate either the pump or the module out of the problem. There is a cost to living in the country I suppose.

The #426520X has a retail price of NZ$110.60. + GST Should be available from any F&P service centre. Don’t think you’ll do any better that that.

If you have turned off the continuous run cycle then I would think the controller has crashed.
The display board is dumb so should not be the problem.

Fault code 37 pump fault, not draining etc.
Machine should be under warranty. Would pay not to touch it.

It is not uncommon to find the controller has self destructed with no outside influence. Moreso on the later model machines starting with your model. Maybe “cheap” components.

Press and hold the padlock button until it beeps, maybe she has set the kiddie lock. Didn’t think to mention that as I thought it would be too obvious. LOL.

Dryer Controllers dont give much trouble.

    Re: F & P ED56 dryer won’t start

Can you hear a hum after pressing start/pause?
If you can, then it’s the motor or capacitor.

If there is a series of beeps when you press the start/pause switch, check that you have not broken the pin on the door that operates the door switch

The spin light flash indicates you have entered the data download mode.
You don’t need to press the start pause button on your machine.
The pump squeal is just dry bearings, if there is no sign of a water leak just apply oil to the upper and lower bushes.
You will most likely find the pump will last a long time.
I think the pump manufacturer must be getting a little mean on bearing lubrication.

Smart Drive has a “power on, self test” and will alarm if any of the values are out of “normal range”

The blue plastic core is to stop the hose kinking and shutting off air flow.

Use your meter to check the resistance of both hot and cold valves.
They should be the same. Try swopping the wiring on the valves, it should be just long enough. Could be a module failure but that fault (where the module is the problem) is normally found in the later model machines. Sorry “Penguin45” but the fill valve voltage on that machine is 12V.

    Re: F&P GW709au (Won’t Spin)

Seems a little strange. Suggest you join the wires together at the microswitch. The 709 uses edge connector plugs at the board.
Remove the plug for the OOB and the lid reed switch. Gently squeeze the plug contacts together and then refit to the board. (If you have a multimeter check that the wiring has continuity from the plug to the microswitch.) If that doesn’t fix it, at least you have eliminated everything apart from the module.

Never seen a module fail on that code.

Re: Water in inner bowl of F&P

Inner bowl is supposed to contain water. There is a hollow ring in the top of the bowl and another in the bottom. The saline solution is a balance weight.
Remove this solution and machine will not be able to maintain spin balance.

Bite the bullet and get an authorised repair company. Both freezer and refrigerator fan have been upgraded. Suggest you replace both at the same time. Will cost less in the long run.
