KeymasterThe later models are grim Phil, the parts prices grimmer still I’m afraid.
I was doing a favour for someone on the site and it transpires that the spares, a whole condensor chamber, seal and fan motor were WAY over £100 for the parts alone. Two year old machine as well and touch and go as to whether it’s economically viable to repair it. 😕

KeymasterUsually Fagor IIRC, or Brandt on the odd occasion. TBH, I’ve lost the plot with Caple, Eurolec and Kompact appliances as the damn things keep changing, it’s like a lottery on what you end up seeing these days. 😕

Keymaster£10K is about the norm for most. For what I wanted, a bit customised I’ll grant you ;), I was quoted >£50K just to impliment the basics.
Needless to say I came up with an alternative plan that I’m still working on.

KeymasterHi Wagon,
Try cleaning the filters and, importantly, the spray arms as well, they should “clip off”. Also make sure that the way you’re loading it doesn’t block the spray arms travel.

KeymasterFrankly, it’s a nightmare or very expensive!

KeymasterYeah well Electrue have been known to be a bit pricey for OEM spares. We were buying them for less than £2 a couple of years ago before the big GBDAR/Servis price increase which more than doubled the price of all the handle kits overnight.
But they’re not taking the p**s… honest. 😉

KeymasterHi Phidom,
Welcome to the site.
If nobdy can help you with this PM me in the morning when I’m back at my desk as I think I have an idiot’s guide to those machines somewhere. 😉

KeymasterMiele (to my knowledge) only sell what they make, they do not buy in other manufacturers products and rebadge them. Nor do they sell their appliances to anyone else, again as far as I know.

KeymasterWhat’s the ambient temperature? Is it installed in a cold environment, which is what I suspect?

KeymasterHi Eddie that may well be correct as they were made by Teba as far as I am aware and if you see the article on the front page that explains the situation as we have it currently.

KeymasterThere is carbon filter listed is that part number and it’s priced at £27.40 excl VAT/carriage and you will have to use the original one from De Dietrich. If you want us to get you one just email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and we’ll get you one.

KeymasterYou will probably require the De Dietrich one in all honesty but I’ll need the model number at the very least to check it out for you. 😉

KeymasterHi, that looks like a timeout error, you have to respond to an email within 24 hours. If you re-register it should be fine.
You can send an email to that address without registration though.

KeymasterRe: De Dietrich UMP 604E1/1 Oven Cavity
I’ve only ever done one on a bog standard oven Lawrence and it was an absolute pig of a job, took over two hours to do it on a Candy IIRC. Most manufacturers don’t even supply the cavity as a spare IME.
