    That model number appears invalid, is it maybe an APM2590?

    If it is the part number is W0000024 for the assy and is priced at £17.40 excl VAT and carriage.

    Willie,

    Could be a stat fault, relay/TOC or a compressor fault.

    Best getting an engineer in if you’re not sure.

    Well if it does happen I just hope that they have the stock returns procedure sorted out in advance.

    However I did get a call from DAG the other day telling me that I had 90 days to submit any outstanding Samsung invoicing and that they had ceased the work from Samsung.

    I also hope that GBDAR are paying the same £45 or more that the DAG agents where being paid for this work as you’ll need it. Samsung are not the easiest people to work with shall we say.

    I wonder how long it will take them to set up internet access for spares ordering and lookup for the GBDAR agents this time? 😆

    Deana,

    Are you sure that you have the make correct? Is this a UK machine?

    The reason I ask is that I don’t recognise it and I know most UK brands and it appears not to ring a bell with anyone else either. 😕

    Any more information would be good. But if it is a “no-name” thing than your only option may well be to replace it.

    Note to self… remember to learn how to spell borboun and I should know, I’ve looked at a bottle or two in my time. 😕

    It’s a nice bottle of Knob Creek (no sniggering :lol:) which I rather like. But to be fair I’ve yet to find a proper malt (hate blends) rye or Kentucky Borboun that I don’t like. Wild Turkey, rough but great, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark etc., I like ’em all.

    But when you get into the real stuff, the Scottish Malts, it can quickly become a very expensive evening. For my 30th, which coincided with a good friend’s 30th we sat and scoffed a bottle of 30year old malt, not a cheap evening albeit delightfully pleasant! I didn’t even mind the hangover for that one. 😆

    Where there is or has been a problematic agent it would not surprise me if Connect did so, nor would I particularly blame them either. If the agent isn’t doing the job then, well that’s it really, there’s not a lot of choice in it for Connect really, they have to find a replacement.

    What I will say is that, even though I do not work for Connect, that they do support their agents and have worked with many to resolve such issues where they can. I’m not saying that Connect are perfect as there’s been a few murmours of discontent but they do appear on the surface to be a better quality of WP getting many things right.

    What would surprise me very much is if this were a nationwide thing, I’d be really surprised as I do know that many of the Connect agents are doing a bloody good job for them and if they did make such a move it would be a PR disaster on an NESN scale!

    It does however, to me, highlight the need for technical information and appliance specific training if there are widespread problems with the Lux group work.

    As for Beko and White Knight, let’s just say I’ve not heard many people that like the work so if yoou do get offered it make sure you’re being well paid to do it. Loads of rejections from White Knight was one of the big ones as well as a poor pay and Beko, well the name says it all really. 😉

    A little bird on the wing whispered something about chargeback figures and a witchhunt for those that exceed the set targets….

    It’s only natural to have a dig about it, but I may leave it till tomorow night so there’s fuck all they can do about it until after the break, I’m nice that way! :rotfl:

    And I’m sure I can dig up some more dirt as well. 😉
