Never seen one let alone done one but the seal part number is C00268667 and it’s a special order everywhere, nil stock completely.

Re: What’s the worst injury you’ve had repairing appliances

I was somewhat remiss, my apologies.

Appropriate responses are and, all include a sharp intake of breath and a wince is perfectly acceptable…

“Oh ya b—–d bet that hurt like a mutha f—–“

“F— me, that was a sore one”

“Did the back tape hold that together?”

“Bet that stung like a ba—— when you washed your paws with Persil and Fairy liquid”

“The blood didn’t rust your tools did it?”

“Stupid b——d, you’ll know better next time eh?”

“Well that’ll teach you to f—–g pay attention!”

    “A day off, seriously?”

“Cheap Turkish piece of s–t tried to kill you eh?” (can be Italian, Chinese etc.)

    “You muppet”

“You told her to get the dog the f— out the kitchen!!”

Maybe it’s a Scottish thing but such things (where you don’t die or are maimed for life) tend to be viewed in a more light hearted manner.

Of course the PC brigades won’t like the more non-PC responses and naturally none of the above are suitable for use in front of the customer although, with some of the injuries sustained I think a little forgiveness could be afforded. 😉

That sounds more like a compressor failure to be honest, it’s classic symptoms of that failed.

Sounds like the compressor is seized which, if it’s not been used in a year or more isn’t all that surprising really.

Re: Bush BFFF60185 Fridge Not Working Right

As is the case with many of these own label products there’s no info on it I can fins so, unless someone has something you may be stuck here.

I suspect it’s one of the falling air basic Chinese ones and if that’s the case then it’s likely to be a compressor problem of some sort or refrigerant system at least so, probably not worth repairing to be honest.

I *think* it’s the Biofresh sensor but, ti’s a bit of guesswork I’m afraid however, I’d be fairly confident it’s that one given what you describe.

    It’s this one used:

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/9590142- … zer-sensor

    It should be this variant: 168 / KB 4250-20B / K 8867 S / 097544602

The thing to do is try to work out what’s stopping the drum from turning and go from there.

Sometimes you can see through the drum holes but if not, it’s strip down.

Re: Miele K8867-S1 freezing Biofresh compartments

    That I don’t know.

There’s multiple versions and from the info you have there I can’t nail down what one it is:

    164 / KB 4250-21 / K 8867 S-1 / 097636400
    164 / KB 4250-21A / K 8867 S-1 / 097636401
    164 / KB 4250-21B / K 8867 S-1 / 097636402
    164 / KB 4250-21C / K 8867 S-1 / 097636403
    164 / KB 4250-21D / K 8867 S-1 / 097636404
    164 / KB 4250-21F / K 8867 S-1 / 097636406
    168 / KB 4250-20 / K 8867 S / 097544600
    168 / KB 4250-20B / K 8867 S / 097544602
    168 / KB 4250-21 / K 8867 S-1 / 097641400
    168 / KB 4250-21A / K 8867 S-1 / 097641401
    168 / KB 4250-21B / K 8867 S-1 / 097641402
    168 / KB 4250-21C / K 8867 S-1 / 097641403
    168 / KB 4250-21D / K 8867 S-1 / 097641404
    168 / KB 4250-21F / K 8867 S-1 / 097641406

I need to narrow that to one to see what’s in it.

More than likely a dodgy sensor.

There’s something in it then or the heater’s bent up but in any event, no, not good at all.

Re: John Lewis machine started smoking

Could well be something like a sock stuck in-between the drum and tank, usually about the heater at the bottom that’d cause that.

A torch, time and so forth will usually reveal it.
