Over freezing then, probably a sensor issue but that’s a best guess.

KeymasterRe: NESN In Liquidation?
If I’m brutally honest…
I’m surprised they lasted this long after the whole Currys debacle of years back (the sordid history is in this very forum). Fair play though, NESN lasted for a good 11 years after that surpassing expectations.
It’s a shame as it was a good idea.
The demise wasn’t really a shock though. Rumours had been swirling for many months, the Qualtex deal (allegedly) fell through and the loss of at least one sizeable contract that I was aware of didn’t exactly bode well.
And, while 0800 may have swooped in to mop up as I believe they won the Shop Direct work, Swan to you… who knows how that might go.

There is no video and, it’d probably be pointless anyway as many are since it can vary how you do things from model to model… they’re not all the same.

Best thing to start with is probably to defrost it fully. A pain I know but at least 24 hours off with the doors open, then restart it and see how it goes.

Given that MFI that owned the brand went under in 2008 I’ll let you guess how much of a chance you have of getting that given you can’t even get a user manual any longer. 😉

KeymasterRe: 0800 Repair taking over Service Force work
I hadn’t the time to comment on this earlier Steve and, given I’ve really not commented on much of late I feel obliged.
The simple fact is, nobody cares.
Nobody cares that the large service agent era is gone. They should but, they don’t.
After all, just as one simple observation, if there is no room for advancement in a chosen career or area of business then what’s the point? You’ll always be just stuck in a rut with no opportunities to advance.
Therefore, when any hope is removed, there’s no point in trying.
Esoteric stuff aside, about the only thing I can see raising so much as a blip on someone’s radar somewhere with this is that some brands might feel that shoving work into the mill that is 0800/JTM with the attached baggage allowance might not appeal.
That may well have nothing whatsoever to do with ability, although I’m rather sure that’s factor, but more to do with the politic of it.
For Megan, probably a good thing. Take the money and run I say, in my own instance, I would have.
I mean Lux are hardly the best payers although, mileage may vary depending on demand and let’s leave that there. Whirlpool just bought Indesit so that work’s likely to dry up. Beko probably won’t be overjoyed at Lux’s “branding” plans, which are to my mind a bit of a joke and a repeat of previous (grievous?) errors.
The point however is that, as I saw many years ago (go me!) the work has become more and more fractured over time, the contract work that could support large solus agencies is long gone, more than a decade gone.
In the appliance service industry as it is today, companies like Megan are a relic of a past that has long since ceased to exist.
(London et all, you’ve a chance as that’s in its own bubble of reality but, beyond London and, for Londoners yes there is a world beyond London, you’ve got almost no chance for any real serious growth.)
A number of other Lux agencies have been snaffled up by Respond Services as well.
Where the Lux agent falls it’s not even remotely uncommon for Respond or 0800 to step into the breach.
It’s a trend, a thing. For middle managers it solves the problem or, at least, makes it go away.
What they cannot foresee is what will be the result of those actions. And, even were they to, would they care? Why would they, the problem’s gone, at least for now? Kudos from head office, good job, well done… moving on…
There again, they may well not fully comprehend why they take or are forced down that road.
I have to stress that this may not be their fault entirely as, they do after all often live in a little corporate bubble filled with unicorns and rainbows that appear in company colours brandishing golden logos emblazoned on their every visible surface.
A slightly skewed view of the world will we say.
Now I get completely that many might see me as actually being red in colour, with a deformation that resembles horns on my forehead and a very dapper swishing tail with a pointy bit on the end but, I’m really not. I’m actually not just stirring the pot for the sake of it here nor am I being hyperbolic when I say that, the course set upon here is so extremely dangerous it beggars belief.
It is entirely possible that two companies will hold the keys to the castle as it were for servicing of Electrolux Group products in the UK, period.
If they throw their teddies out the pram then the problems that Lux and others have had finding alternative cover thus far or, for the past decade or so anyway will be mere foreplay to the s*** storm that approaches them now.
I can assure you all, 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for sure with not even the slightest glimmer of doubt that they have had problems getting cover for a number of reasons and, that if this tack goes sideways previous issues were just a taster of the hassles to follow.
And if Lux and/or others get held to ransom by this action. Well, the level of sympathy I have will perhaps encourage me to raise a glass in an “I told you so” sort of gesture but, that’ll be about all I will be able to bring myself to muster. If I get past chuckling.
Now for the scary bit, no I hadn’t done that already, if that’s the score with “major respected” brands like Lux (not the only ones ;)) then how does that bode for all the others?
That is a scary thought. Perhaps not the worst however.
And yet, nobody cares.
If you want to combat this as independents then it’s possible of course, anything is possible. But, you’re all going to have to get a lot more organised than you are and you’re going to have to up your game.
If not, nobody will care or shed a tear over your demise either.

Believe it or not, there’s over 100 versions of that machine so the serial numbers etc will be needed to even get a look at what it is and the setup.

No, you really can’t or it’s highly inadvisable.
If you do it won’t extract correctly if indeed at all and make a terrible noise as well.

Quite possibly, yes. If it even works at all.
The real record pump in that dishwasher is fairly cheap anyway as record pumps go, shown here:
