KeymasterRe: Qualifications
There are DA NVQ’s as far as I am aware, a program instigated by DASA.
However, I have a few issues with that, as you may have suspected. 😉
For one, why does no-one ask for it? For two, where are these courses held and, for three what is the relevence to my business given “one”.
Answer, no relevance and therefore no use and, into the bargain there is no scope to profit by sending trainees or engineers on such a course if no-one cares about it. Frankly, the time is better spent in the field learning the job instead of outdated information in a classroom.

Keymaster52X0893 – Power Card – nil stock
52X0894 – Control Card – nil stock
55X3636 – Door Safety Device – in stockThere are no less than 7 variants listed Mark and none tie to that type number, this was the best guess I’m afraid but I think most of these are the same. 😕
The control card is the actual display/input card.

KeymasterYeah, made a few calls and the rumours are rife.
A bit about Lux’s in warranty rate being shockingly bad.
Lots about the guy that owned it ripping off Lux, the taxman and anyone else with a pulse as well and then sailing off to the USA to property he owns out there.
Loads of info on the state of play though, no cover in certain areas at all and not many people wanting to know about it either, but I hear tell that a solution is in play. We’ll see I guess.
No confirmation on any of it yet though.

KeymasterThere is always going to be some residue in the appliance and, even then there’s nothing that can leave a deposit in it in the first place so it can only be caused by an external source. The only thing I can think of is the breakdown of the water softner, but that would give a different result.
However, the crockery thing is a joke, surely?

Corrected to: whilst washers are available at this price there is no hope to sell spares at the ludicrous prices that are asked for them, which bear no relation at all to the price of the appliance on the high street.
I’ve been on about this for ages and apparently the OFT are looking into it, but without consumer pressure it may well be a lost cause.

According to what I’ve seen and, I’ve seen a few, this is indicative of residue not being rinsed off properly and baked on when the appliance goes onto a drying cycle. The residues break down to some extent during the wash process and the tiny bits get re-deposited onto the dishes etc., this indicates that it is not being rinsed off properly. 99.99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time this is due to the loading pattern used or the lack of, or poor quality rinse aid and not actually a fault with the appliance.
That said, anything is possible but I’ve never really seen anything else causing the fault in probably hundreds of instances.
What powder and rinse aid are you using?

KeymasterElectra in the UK was used as a brand name for the electricity boards only from memory. The washers were generally Creda or Kelvinator (Candy in disguise) in my experience of them. 😕
Is there any chance it’s been deported from the UK and do you have a model number?
