Oi, that’s enough of that! We are are not the English Grammatical Society here and we all make mistakes, no need to be rude and certainly not to belittle people with comments like that.
I know it was in jest, but as you can see can be easily misinterpreted. 😉

KeymasterHi Matthew,
I’ll post the codes in the articles section but I have to first recieve permission to do so from MFI, copyright and all that malarky. I have asked MFI for permission to do so and am awaiting a reply from them.
MFI are a reasonable and customer orientated company and I don’t see there being an issue, but I’ve got to go through the motions. However we will only be able to reproduce the error code explanations as supplied with the handbook, which I may be able to expand on a bit but, as I keep saying, error codes only give you a clue of where to start looking for the fault, they very rarely tell even us what the fault actually is.
Huby’s is worth a call though, Jason is a really nice guy and they will do a good job for you.

KeymasterYeah, we agreed to do it like this as things stand now…
Subscribers that have agreed to the charter

All the restSeems fair to us, the more interest in the whole concept the more you’re liable to get out of it. This is the system, probably with one additional level at a later date, that we will adopt and stick to.

KeymasterOkay, so to bring this back to life a tad…
Can you please fill in your acceptance of this (if you agree of course) so we have something to guarantee some quality of repair and customer care standards for any of the work offers here, including the one in progress now.
If there’s a problem please let me know.
Thanks

KeymasterI have now also heard that CIH members have also been offered franchises as they have been complaining about Hotperloni’s general level of service. They seem to think it’s taking an average of 10 days to get an initial visit with many other complaints as well.

KeymasterYeah Ally, it’s a Scottish thing I think…
Fast smooth A-roads with a few interesting twists in them and no bloody speed cameras! 😉 They really hacked me off with the one on the Rest.
But yeah, I rate the current crop of Renault’s, cars and vans since I have a few. Plus I can get a decent deal on them as well. 😀

KeymasterHopefully dealt with now if Li can bail us out…AGAIN!

KeymasterWe use a couple of IR thermometers and they can vary with a wired probe a bit, so not the best but accurate enough for our work and what we use them for. Can’t remember the makes but both came from CPC.
I’d say this was a customer education issue most likely though, not a fault. I mean it’s an element, it works or it doesn’t work! 😆

KeymasterAnd, four months later has it actually been printed?

KeymasterAnd today I had a CIH member on moaning about Merloni/Hotpoint service as beingvery poor with, in some cases, over two weeks till an initial appointment was met!
And we get slated for 3 days!

KeymasterRe: The Enemy!
Oh, handbags at dawn on this lot! :rotfl:
Seriously though, do we all need to squabble over this stuff?
Dave, I don’t really blame you after the work you put into Orbit only to have it chucked back and pissed about with, I wasn’t exactly over the moon either the way things panned out. Other than the shitty politics of it it just passed its sell-by date and the momentum was lost, nothing new in the DASA camp in that.
Alex, Mark was trying to call you the other day to resolve this, did he get you and is it sorted? Also GS from AIS has been trying to talk to you as well, I was asked to pass on the message so I’ve done my bit now. 😉
Critisism and lively debate creates a new positiveness, new positiveness creates a flurry of activity and general expectation, then fuck all happens.
Is exactly the problem with DASA.
Nothing ever seems to happen, even if it does happen! I have stirred up a hornets nest with the posts I put up there and you see the level of reaction to it, pass me the paddles and we’ll try electro-shock! 😆
So, basically, you need a fuck-off big rabbit out the hat for the AGM, but what?

KeymasterEhm, guys…
This is nothing new! These machines were being worked on for the Far Eastern market only in the mid-1980’s IIRC and they had a few technical issues with them. But that wasn’t the problem really at all.
The problem is the same one that P&G etc. have now and have had for many years, people like to see the suds in the washer as then they are re-assured that it is indeed working correctly. For the past couple of decades (IIRC) all the soap manufacturers have actually put foaming agents in for that very reason, if they remove them customers don’t think that the gear is cleaned properly. It also has to smell freshly washed when you take it out or you get the same effect.
I’d love to see how they get around that little problem for the EU/US markets. 😉

That’s about all I can think of off the top of my head. 😕

KeymasterNever seen that P and certainly not with a Smeg hob. I should suspect that there may need to be an air gap introduced to the oven housing at the top section crossmember to the front to allow excess heat to dissipate, it’s the only way I can think of effectively reducing the heat build up, if that’s the problem. There are quite a few ovens out there that actually need this section removed to prevent overheating in the housing but I would have thought that an AEG would have been okay on that count, but not knowing the appliance I can’t really comment on that.
