KeymasterRe: appliance health check
It is now live.
Bear with us on this as this is an entirely new system that we’ve only just taken the wrapper off so, we’re not going mental promoting it just yet but, as you might have seen, it’s been noticed in some quarters.
What we need is people to test it and tell us what they find wrong, if anything. Obviously everyone hopes for zero issues but, that doesn’t always happen!
So if you guys wouldn’t mind registering some of your own stuff and, even requesting a Healthcheck on them to get a feel for how it works and give us any feedback that would help immensely to hone it.
To that end, while it’s all live, we’ve made it so it’s not glaringly obvious until we get a few guinea pigs and some feedback. Once we get that and sort any issues found, we ramp it up.
You can find the initial registration page here:

Please help out on this as, it could well earn you some cash which is the aim of it.

Please keep it to one thread per problem or, it gets more confusing and, you’re likely to get a poorer response.

It is a Vestel machine.
I can’t find a part number for that though. 🙁

Yep they were being flogged on Amazon for a short time as well but, they’re all still in warranty as they were first seen last year.

KeymasterRe: A bit of an oversight?
Just thinking about this Jim, do you know if the customer has home insurance?
It should be covered on that and the customer will get on a a *LOT* faster claiming through her insurer than chasing you and yours.
Obviously it’s a right pain but if you checked it and it was okay after fitting I think anyone would struggle to apportion blame to you. They’ll try it of course and to be blunt, anyone else that any insurer possibly could but I think they’d be clutching at best.
If the customer chases through your insurer it’ll take months to sort I expect, if it ver gets sorted as one I had was nearly three years before it was done and they paid.

To be honest Jim, that’s a first, never seen or heard of that happening before.
I can’t even remember writing the instructions now it was so long ago!

KeymasterRe: TDWSF83BEP Door Filter Light
The manuals you’ve found will not relate to this machine.
As I said before, in so much as I can tell this model was ONLY used as a replacement for the recalled dryers and not sold as such so, there is no information on them at all as yet as they should all be in warranty.
That’s why nobody can help you with it as nobody’s seen one and there’s no info or hardly even any parts listed as yet.
You will probably have no alternative but to contact Hotpoint.

KeymasterRe: Need exact dimensions for White-Westinghouse fridge
Should be in a bog standard 600x600x850 cabinet so pretty much anything should fit. You’re problem may be the door and that is a total unknown.

I do think you’ll struggle with that unless someone happens to have an old brochure or something kicking about as they ceased trading about 2008.
But it should fit in a standard sized kitchen unit.

KeymasterRe: Trade Suppliers
Two you should probably have a look at are…
For ASWO the contact is: sales.uk@aswo.com
Also LF is worth dealing with, if you can get your head round how it works…

Between them you can find loads you may not have had access to or, used correctly they can save you a fair bit.

Dodgy water inlet valve or backfiring from the drain are the two most obvious possibilities.

KeymasterRe: ISE10 drains after a few minutes, then turns off.
Induction motor fed by an inverter card.
It sounds as if there’s a problem with either of those or, possibly the heater and it’s aborting out but without prodding about there’s not really any way to be absolutely certain which is the issue.
Heater is a relatively cheap thing to do, the other two not so much.

KeymasterRe: Help on extension lead power
I wouldn’t but, depends how the house is wired and so forth whether it’ll work and not pop something on your main consumer unit.
But using those sorts of things on extension leads is highly inadvisable at the best of times.
