This has kinda spilled over into the thread on Powerhouse in the General Forum as well but I’ve just had another call about someone owed money, a fair bit, with no payment in sight and no contract either. 🙁

And after the news from The Sunday Herald I posted a short while ago, my advice is don’t touch a Powerhouse repair with a bargepole or the money up front! I know I won’t!
And God help any company that is relying on payment from them as it looks as if they’ve no chance. 🙁

Any more detail on that bazil as I keep hearing stuff but thus far it’s all unsubstantiated except by circumstantial evidence but there are rumours abound, none of them good. 🙁

Although I’d love to know what company, other than maybe Microsoft warrants over 88,000 page views and over 2500 emails. Sorry but no UK company is in that league in this industry! 😉

You may or may not have seen the interview peice on the front page earlier, its worth a read in my opinion, with some more info on this new network.
Please, I’ve been asked, that if anyone has any questions regarding the network to mail questions@network-dasa.co.uk or to post here and they will be answered if at all possible.
The more feedback and input that we put in the better it will be for *US* at the end of the day. I know that there are a lot of different opinions on what or how we should work so make them, this is the time and the place even if you’ve never posted or mailed before, now is the time to do so. Anything you want to see happen, the way you work, tips, thoughts, it’s all relevant and useful.
The team is looking for as much feedback as they can get from you guys and girls, not anyone else, service people, the people on the ground doing the work! I am assured that all mails will be treated with the strictest confidence ( I can attest to that, I was trying to get more info yesterday to no avail 😉 ) so there’s nothing to fear from dropping a lin or two to them. And, of course, in here if you’ve chosen to hide your email address which is the default setting, you are anonymous anyway.
So if you have something to say, then say it, there’s no use moaning about it later!

I’ve said time and again that, okay maybe I do push it a bit and drive people to get involved a bit more, but at the end of the day it’s up to them. They make it work or not work, not me, i just give them the tools and hopefully a bit more of a voice than they had.
The idea was to build a community within the trade to allow everyone to speak and pass information, be that technical or business and it appears to be working. The problem is that it is a lot of work to keep driving it and keeping it going until it takes on a life of its own which it is doing slowly but surely.
My problem is now that I’ve gotten sucked further and further into it all! 😕

I will not do work for some third party at a lower rate than I got direct on principal as I can live without these leeches. I could afford to tell GIAS to stick it where the sun don’t shine and I can certainly afford to live without plonkers like JTM. 🙄
See, I do have principals, even if they are misplaced at times but sometimes you just have to take a stand. 😉
As for the rumour mill, who knows, but there has been a few complaints about JTM & money over the course and Ted was on about a queue of them at that service thing in Luton.
