Dave’s right to ask as, if it’s not working at all it’s more likely to be the switch unit, this one:

KeymasterRe: rapport ?
Thank you.
It is really nice to hear such positive feedback. Sudeep will be well happy to hear the comments and in my estimation, they are well deserved.
The website integration is something we came up with due to my obsession with automation, basically, if I can automate a process I will and Sudeep’s got that totally. Why do it yourself when the machine can do it for you?
Or indeed, why take a call, tap in details when you can get the customer to do it all for you, hence the website integration.
What you haven’t seen due to Amica’s change to their service arrangements ( 🙁 ) is when that happens from a commercial rapport installation and, the info flows back the other way as well. You don’t need to double key stuff, you don’t need to email, fax or phone, all the info just transfers in almost real time.
It means you don’t have someone from a call centre chasing up progress as they get updated, in real time.
Because we’ve got an API it also means that almost any manufacturer/insurer/work provider system can be enabled to use it, if they want it.
I reckon and it is roughly, that quite easily 80-90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the admin burden can be removed or automated with not a lot of effort if everyone put their mind to it.
And, that’s just the highlights. 😉
It’s designed from the ground up to remove as much effort for all parties as possible.
That little bit of work upfront on your part to set it up the way you want to work is about all you need do, after that it’s just tweaking it here and there to suit your needs.
For WTA members there’s a little thing coming up at the conference though that hooks into this and I hope makes it even more valuable to you all and get you more GOOD work you’ll like. More about that on the 24th.
Let’s just say, Sudeep and I have been a bit busy. 😉
In the near future I hope we’ll be able to integrate accounting functions to Xero and Intuit but that is a work in progress. When we get that sorted I’d think we’d be hitting 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}+ of all admin is removed from you where the data is all dealt with in the digital realm.

KeymasterRe: WTA 2017 conference
Ahead of the conference and that there’s likely to be new work available we’ve had a bit of a cull tonight on the access to the WTA forum.
Basically if you paid your subs and we could find you, you still have access.
If you haven’t paid or we couldn’t tie up the username or email, you will not have access.
Please don’t come back with the “I didn’t get…” as it’s all been sent on multiple occasions so if you’ve lost access it’s on you, not us. Some have even had reminders from third parties, also ignored so if you’ve lost your access it’s your problem.
If you want it sorted, try to be nice about it please. 😉
That’s stage 1.
Stage 2 is non-paid members will be removed as WTA members from the engineer search.
Stage 3 is that unpaid members will be removed from all WTA listings, including for corporate clients.
Stage 4 is that the WTA will look at ex-members falsely advertising as being members and, as has already happened in a couple of cases, chase that down with Trading Standards and others.
Sorry but I don’t see why unpaid members or people falsely claiming to be a member should get the benefits.
If you’ve got an issue with any of that then you know how to contact myself, Lawrence or Ian.

According to the info there’s not a fault code like that, it’s all the usual F1, F2 etc.

KeymasterRe: Qualtex Account Closure
Maybe, maybe not.
Perhaps someone just ran the numbers and decided that having say three of four staff to service accounts generating enough to pay for perhaps only one member of staff just wasn’t worth doing.
From a business perspective, that’d be completely understandable. And, I’d expect that most here would do exactly the same if they found that they weren’t making enough to cover the costs.

KeymasterRe: Aqualtis Auto dose issue
That’s new. As in, a completely new thing for Hotpoint, didn’t even know they were dabbling with that.
I know it’s a but late but the best advice I could ever give about domestic auto dosing machines be they whatever flavour as so far I’ve only looked at the Miele one is, don’t buy it.
I may well explain why more at length in an article but the cut down version is, they’re flaky, probably not a lot of use to most people and could prove costly if you’re tied to particular products so, lots of stuff to put you off it in essence. Oh and it’s just something else that could (probably) go wrong and cost you when it does.
Now add to that that both Miele and Hotpoint (aka Whirlpool/Indesit) do not play nice with others in regard to technical information and most here won’t even be able to find out let alone tell you how it works or is supposed to.
Therefore, what the error code you have means, goodness only knows.
How the system works, not got a clue. Most will use a pump of some sort as you’re restricted to using liquids on most I’ve looked at, which is bad news big time for performance. Using liquids constantly is serious bad news, wrecks stuff and you’ll get smells building up as well as poorer performance.
It looks like the usual sort of thing, couple of tanks with a pump strapped to them to punt it up into the drawer. Where you poured it into in the first place… which should offer up some idea of how “smart” the system is. That’s just bizarre IMO.
To be honest, if you could do it, the best advice I can offer is get shot of it. If you can send it back as faulty and get something better, without auto-dosing as it really is a foolish notion in many respects. Sounds nice in the sales patter I’m sure but, in the real world…
