Which is why that most of them are crap I expect.
What cracks me up is that people still expect as good, as durable and as long lasting for what, a tenth or less of the price.

It tickles me that you can buy a machine like that now when 30 years ago a “basic” washing machine was a lot more.

Looks to be a very small affair, no employees and not a lot of turnover either. If I’m not mistaken no money either. So your warning to avoid looks to be well founded.

I think you will find the Ikea and AEG are the same unit pretty much, both produced by Electrolux.
To get any better you’d have to look at Liebherr but, what they cost I have no idea.

I don’t know about those ones but I can say that Aldi’s own brand (I don’t know who makes them for Aldi) are very good. About 70-90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} as good as Ariel/Persil but way cheaper.
Aldi’s own, oddly, comes out of test a lot better than most of the own label ones.

Sadly you won’t get that now, years ago Rangemaster bought the Mercury brand and ditched pretty much all support. Then Rangemaster got bought and it got even harder.
These days there’s pretty much nothing that you can get.
