KeymasterIf it’s a US-market appliance, I doubt there will be any support for it here; you’d have to ask in the US for that.

KeymasterWhenever I installed them I’d use three core heat resistant cable so the earth is in the cable.

KeymasterFor a pyro oven I’d use a 6mm cable.

KeymasterNothing to take action on but worth watching for sure.

KeymasterI am afraid that 239900281 doesn’t seem to be a reference to anything I can find.
But to drop £150 on a decade old machine that you don’t know what the issue is with would seem risky as if it’s too expensive a fix or, can’t be fixed you’ll only get half that back if I recall. And, I very much doubt they’d cover the internal plastics for that either.
They all fit in standard cabinets, it’s the sixe of the unit you will need to be able to find a replacement and do watch the doors, they are more of an issue than the appliance often.

KeymasterYes, it could well be the switch that’s the problem in that case and the most likely but you’d need to take a look to confirm that.

KeymasterIf the main oven doesn’t fire up at all, there is no light or anything, then the two likely possibilities are the clock on auto, or the main oven switch has blown.
With the power going out the clock is worth looking at before you open it up and look at the switch.

KeymasterThe kicker is of course, by taking court action all they did was highlight the issue even more.
And now we all know why Dyson went to Malaysia. 😉

KeymasterNot a huge amount of interes tin this so far I gotta say but that might be as I didn’t explain it so well. I started up the NWAR site once again to use primarily as a blog where I can be, more candid, will we say so there’s a bit more on the thoughts rarttling about here:

KeymasterIs it smal loads you are doing as that sounds as if it’s a load imbalance issue?

KeymasterSo long as you use a hot wash most of the time with a decent detergent you are unlikley to have any problems.
Keeping filters clear and wiping down the seals is of course required but that’s just occasional maintenance.
Other than that you shouldnt’ have to do anything and, unless it’s a poor quality machine, the steel tank will last way longer than anything else in the machine.

KeymasterI don’t get that.
I mean, I can understand that there might be delivery issues to remote locations but to insist on a minimum of six machines to indie retailers seems a bit harsh especially if they’re not available through a distributor.
But the service thing is just dumb IMO, what happens if they get one on the island at some stage, chances are you’re the only person that could service it at anything close to a sensible cost and they just hacked you off. Seems a bit stupid to me.

KeymasterI will need the service number from the rating plate please in order to correctly identify the spare part you need with complete certainty. Using that ensure that you get the correct parts as with most Liebherr units there are multiple versions of them.
The service number is labelled as being that and will start 09 or 99 normally and be found on the rating plate of your fridge, in the fridge section on the fridge freezer or inside your freezer and normally, in all cases, will be at the bottom on the left-hand side wall. In a fridge, it is often the case that you will have to remove the salad drawer to find the rating plate.
The service number is nine digits long and will have a hyphen in it, please ignore that as it’s not relevant for parts lookup.
For side by side units, each section (fridge and freezer) will have its own data plate with its own service number.
You can find more on where the rating plate can be found at this link:

KeymasterThe site was acquired when Whirpool bought Philips Home Appliances in 1990 which at the time produced washing machines since 1958, expanded to make dryers then cut back in 2002.
You’re welcome. 😉
