ParticipantRe: Electronic to Mechanical Fridge Control
be careful as you are changing the original spec of the appliance and if there was an issue i.e fire and it could be traced to your un official mod you could be liable .

ParticipantRe: COP Draft
Hi
Recieved this morningLawrence,
Further to our telephone conversation this morning, I have received comments back from my colleague and due to the high level of workload in their section, they are unable to give advice on your COP as your organisation has not made a formal application to the OFT for your COP to be OFT CCAS approved.I will address your 3 queries:
1. 3G Completion time – Your COP has addressed this matter adequately.
2. 3D Pre-Contractual Information – The reasoning behind this criteria is for consumers to have all the information required that enables them make an informed purchase decision. The pre-contractual information to be made available to consumers must includethe following examples and more, please refer to the guidance:
information about the main characteristics of the product
information on key contract terms
pricing information, showing total price breakdown where appropriate
information on delivery, payment and other performance arrangements
information on complaints handling procedures and after sales services
details of the trader and geographical address
Please note – Precontractual information must be available in writing and provided to consumers on request, but in any event adequate information should always be given in a form which is assessable to the consumer. This is covered under Customer Care in the Bosch COP.3. I would recommend you look at the Bosch COP (as they also deal in equipment) or any of the other OFT approved codes, which are :
â—SSMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders)
â—VBRA (Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association)
â—DSA (Direct Selling Association)â—OEA (Ombudsman for Estate Agents)
The Carpet Foundation
BOSCH (Robert Bosch Ltd)
BAR (British Association of Removers)
DEMSA (Debt Managers Standards Association)I would advise that your organisation makes a formal application to the OFT for their COP to be CCAS approved. Then your COP will be given priority.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information
So
I propose that we look at how to apply on Fri and who will deal with it ?Lawrence

I’d like to get back on track and be brought up to speed with the COP… Unless the task has gone elsewhere…?
As no-one contacted me after the last WTA meeting, I still have no idea what was discussed, so I’m quite a while back at the moment… So, up to you lot, if ya still wants me…?
And my Mobile number is 07525 893166! It appears not all messages get through to me at the office.

timdowning wrote:Looking through the Portway stuff I picked up at the meeting is the AW23 the same as the AWCN14D amica machine?
Also, out of interest who covers Amica’s 2 year guarantee?
As I understand it the AW23 is unique to ISE and GDHA cover the warranties on anything sold by portwayLawrence
