ParticipantRe: "A" Sign of the the Times
If you read the rule book you may find it already is. :rotfl:
It could also be that the sign is part of van equip and that such as the tyre has simply been placed outside of the van to be able to access stuff inside, as opposed the sign was placed there intentionally to warn of a hazard, not sure the rules on that sign on a public highway, its normally used indoors.

I think that may well be the single most ill conceived statement I’ve read for a while that didn’t come from a member of the public who, I fully expect to be completely clueless.
I do not expect it from professionals that are supposed to be educated. More so from one that advocates education so rigourously.
Before you fire back, take a step back, take a breath, think, pause for some reflection then think about it again.
By that logic we will close B&Q, Homebase, Plumb Centre or Wolsley completely, virtually every car part supplier in the land, including Halfords, any electrical store that sells so much as a light switch, you’ll need an engineer to change cartridge heads in your printer, you won’t be able to buy a single component for a PC…. the list just goes on and on and, on, and on…
I’m sure if you were forced to go back to Ford Vauxhall, VW or whoever and pay whatever ransom they demanded for spare parts or service you’d be completely fine with that. That is what you are, in effect, proposing, that a monopoly on all is okay.
If you choose to apply those rules to one then you must apply it to all. But it isn’t so nice when the shoe’s on the other foot perhaps.
Which makes it a completely idiotic notion at best and likely to breach numerous bits of consumer legislation. Not least of which would be the Monopolies & Merger Act, Competition Act, EU Competition Act and I’m just getting warmed up on how many rules that would break.
Before you get that the pigs will be flying in formation over Buckingham Palace with an escort of unicorns. Possibly with a display of some other mythical creature to complete the ensemble.
K.
It was, l thought at least, an obvious tongue in cheek comment.
In this industry you need to have a sense of humor.
Sorry. Martin please sir, continue with your serious drivel.

You should try living in Wales. The draw of cheap housing and easy commute is wearing down fast.
Its about time spare where made unavailable to all except trade clients.

I’d agree with A1, don’t bother with landlords unless your desperate. There always on the look out for the cheapest, I’d say if your being used a lot maybe there is something wrong with your charges.

I took a guy to court for £15.00 for a door seal outer band, we’d fitted door seal and the old band was used, he complained seal keeps slipping off, we returned & he refused to pay after we fitted a new one. He owned the flat above his shop & rented it out and was away when we called.
He refused to pay and due to him being both arrogant & thick, I sued him, he was also an arse to the judge, typical middle aged arse wipe, knew it all and was at a point in life that he believed he was right and would not be doing anything he did not want too.
He defended, lost and had the nerve to try to belittle me, big mistake I’m not unaccustomed to the court system & made it quite clear the money was not the driving force, making him more angry was & worked a peach.
You need to way up the loss of income, but having said that, if you hve to fight for the money chances are with the economy most landlords are shopping around for the cheapest mug and likely hold no loyalty to your business.

Did you get those names from Wiki, Martin.
That reads like Jonathan Ross would say Ricky Martin.
Think I’m still pi88ed.

ParticipantRe: Viceroy dishwasher
Nope.
Not enough hrs in the day, staff or space. In one 24hr production run place all the dishwashers in that period side by side they would spread for approx 8 miles.

Bloody foreigners.
Funny in Spain a few expats used that term when talking about Spanish people not speaking English.

I’ve already answered your irrelevant question, my comments bear no relevence to small to medium retail businesses, l use the term small to medium in the same terms a bank would class small to medium.
Please re read and comprehend my statement, particularly the words one high street competitor, all my writting refers to this company.
