Re: eh i dont think customer will go for this

Probably because the cost to make the min quantity required after production by the people who make the tub is so large that a high {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} would never be sold.

Mr Xian wants an order to make 100,000 tubs, Mr Sven after he finishes laughing wants only 50, so Sven tells Xian to go and roast his nuts, they then compromise come to a lower quantity ordered on demand agreement (Out of stock 3 month waiting) and prices the tub so costly he’d never supply/order any.

I think its time to stop drinking now :boops:

Re: The Most Stupid Things Engineers Say

I’ve worked for several major brands and one thing that was equal amongst them all was the performance figures.

There always was a few engineers that would finish each month high in the {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} completed with very few parts used compared to the rest of the teams.

And not one Manager or Director ever took the time to find out why, the reason was that they knew the guys where playing the system and it was accepted as it helped keep the averages up enough so that higher up the food chain would not notice.

As for qualifications our industry can only begin to be taken seriously once the work force is “Qualified”, but there is a little secret with this, qualified staff equates to higher wage demands.

A typical “Engineer” would earn in excess of £30,000 basic in most fields.

How many guys on here feel qualified enough to become a design engineer for say Bosch, enter the graduate program and you could earn £25,000 in your first yr as a student.

They say “pay peanuts you get monkeys”.

    Appropriate for our industry.

    Lesson 3 for the brands.

Either put up & shut up or change it. :rolls:

Re: The Most Stupid Things Engineers Say

I’ve been vocal on peoples abilities on here for a long time.

Our industry has no qualification of use, sure some NVQ course if you can find a centre running a course.

Which is why there are no White Goods “Engineers” as there is no bloody qualification, duhh.

We are relying on brands to train people with a technical backround, they get them on the road ASAP and complain that the standards are no good.

    K.

Do you think I’d last long on either. :rotfl:

Management have to put up with Engineers and vice verse.

If the engineers/contractors are given 7 calls instead of 10, van stock accurate, updates and tech info accurate, proper product training etc etc there would be no issue with a proper guy doin his job.

As the saying goes, “piss on me, I piss on you” :rolls:

Take any brand and there training of Ex engineers into the role of Managers, most base there training around controlling rogue engineers and instill an attitude of contempt for the field engineering staff, many could do with some people management skills updating. For brands who promote customer service and premium brand products most lack even the basic skills of employee management, some even goes as far as to be completely incompetent in this field, so its hardly surprising that the face the clients see of the company is just as p888ed off as the client. :rolls:

To quote another saying, “Put a pig in a dress, its still a pig”.

Seems to be the 2 most basic points our industry suffers from

    1) Understanding a Service Dept and its limitations impact on the business.

    2) Understanding the importance of staff moral and the true meaning of Teams and Team work.

    Customer Service = B995858it.

Unless you got plenty of cash nobody in any business in any part of the world gives a rats ar8e about you.

And our industry has some right arrogant k0000 heads, even the MD of a brand in this country that I’ve had to deal with, which is a pile of s888te thinks his crap is chocolate, I personally would be embarrassed to work for them never mind walk around as if I was some kind of god ignoring E-mails and messages.

Rant over thank god its Friday.

As for Engineers, One came back to the office a few yrs ago complaining that the factory had not fitted a motor/belt to a clients washing machine, told the client the motor was left off, that is why its not turning the drum. He spent a day or so telling all who would listen how crap ServiceForce was for accepting LG repairs and how it would never work out etc etc.

LG direct drive, nobody informed him that these don’t have motors and belts.

I think he qualified as a Muppet.

Muppet’s tend not to learn, they prefer to be the source of all knowledge, the teachers of children, leaders of our society, they can be mistaken for di88s, but Muppet’s tend to have a good sense of humor, di8s don’t.

Pigs s88t will become more valuable than gold before that happens.

Van stocks and pre planning are all basically guessing, but it narrows down the risk.

I think its about time some WP’s and Brands went back to school and studied history of our industry as their main core subject. Maybe then they could work it out or at least accept it into there business plan or just learn to :

    WALK AWAY.

    “We are always right”.

Sorry in our industry the difference is simple.

One uses the brain the other the hands.

Or to put it your way one is a muppet the other is not.

Re: The Most Stupid Things Engineers Say

Calling ones self an Engineer when one does not posses an Engineering qualification springs to mind.

Assuming the few Chinese made crap they see broken (000000000000000000000000000000.00001{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} manufactured) means it is going to be slagged off endlessly on a forum.

Yes love buy the Bosch WDL23838293782837 its a remarkable efficient, reliable work horse that will serve you well.

I remember a few yrs back an engineer had been told not to point out to the client “installation faults” found on appliances installed by a certain large dealer who employed really really dump people to install them because the dealer was threatening to pull the contract.

So how do you explain to the client the cooker hood some 4 meters longer than the max distance from the outlet cannot cope without mentioning the issue.

Simply blame the Builder of the house. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I guess there trying to keep work in house as there getting rid of peeps brought in to manage the overspill, results from contractors could be poor with many issues being present that should not occur, this feeling is not only felt in Baumatic but many brands are frustrated by the lack of results coming from certain WP’s.

Too much work coming in from a certain Ins company that I hear they’ve been loosing money on and have now ceased selling.

    Ade 🙂

I’ve yet to meet a Manager in this industry that would admit the Titanic was sinking, even when it reached the sea bed they’d still deny any issue. :rotfl:

I know a few p888ed off managers who supported there masters loyally only to be shat on.
