Update on the repair. It was the paddle sensor, which was making & breaking when tested but apparently when spinning fast was faulty & not giving the right signal to the board. Anyway new fill chamber later. All good. Hope that’s helpful.

Quick update. I did remove aquastop & fitted normal E valve. It does have a water wheel flow sensor. Which is spinning round fine. ( I do have 5/6 bar of pressure at my gaff). So I presume I am looking at the sensor or the board being faulty. Any ideas. Cheers Mack.

Thanks Dave, I haven`t seen a flow sensor yet. I was going to fit another valve & remove the aquastop at the weekend. Let you know how that goes. Cheers Mack.

    Hi Guys
Just to let you know the outcome of this job. It was broken t/stat wires on top of the dryer manifold, reconnected now all working ok.
    Thanks guys. Mack.

    Hi Martin
Thanks for the reply. Yes I did check the error code thread. As we know sometimes the fault lies elsewhere, just thought it might be a known fault. Have found how to self diagnose which I will try when I go back for another look.
    Thanks again Mack.

    Re: Bosch D/W drain/noise problem

    Hi Martin
Yes it’s a 3 phase AC 55v pump(or so it says on the tin). I’m sure there are no blockages etc. This was still pulsating randomly when I had the spare pump plugged in sat on the floor. I think the key to this is why the wash motor stepper timer is clicking when the drain pump is activated. It sounded like there was something stuck in the pump at first but the noise is from the timer. As I said have tried a new module but same fault, could it be the control panel pcb. I don’t know which module controls the stepper motor.
    Thanks Mack.

Hi Martin just went & cleaned it all out not that bad really.the display does seem to have a mind of its own sometimes.put it on a cycle empty it came up with 1hr 20mins or something heated & tumbled ok then after about 5 mins counted down to 1 min on display(presumably the humidity sensors working ok) then finished normally.after the cust had done a wash & put damp clothes in same as b4 after initially working ok for 3 mins the display goes blank & it switches off. I asked them to put it on the preset timed program that doesn’t work either. Is there a known problem with the board or selector switch. Thanks Mack.

    Re: blomberg tumble dryer

Thanks Seamy I will look at that.We don’t get many tumble dryers in Cyprus so I was surprised when I looked at this condensing one without a water feed & a light inside the drum. Whatever next! & I understand these have an extra fan to blow cool air over the condenser & humidity sensors in the drum.Bit different to the washer dryers we love to hate. Thanks Mack.

Thanks Martin I’d got this info online from the instruction manual but it’s not like the Indesit range where you can turn it to the stop position & it will reset.Though like the Indesits if the knob is moved it will travel back to the original position. So how do you reset it. Also as I said in my post (without me touching it) how can it move from the cotton wash rinse to the delicate wash rinse do one rinse then go back to the cotton wash rinses & then finish the program. Thanks Mack.

    Re: AEG Lavamat 72630

Thanks for the replies guys. I checked out the PCB board & it was quite black around the transformer but the tracks all looked intact. The cost of a new board out here is quite expensive about 160 euros plus. Time to write it off. Cheers Mack.
