ParticipantRe: Beko fridge freeze recall
I have said it before, retailers should make sure registration cards are filled in, although not perfect at least it will keep down the amount of unknown owners if a recall is ongoing.

Just to confirm 421309234011 does fit,its a fraction larger in diameter but there is plenty of room inside the fan cover, certainly saved a few quid

dpr1974 wrote:Morning, i don’t have a model number for this however here’s the problem. the inside isn’t all steel, the base is plastic and at the back where the steel is sealed to the plastic base it’s leaking. would it be as it appears and just a case of running a bead of adhesive sealant at the rear (outside) or are we talking about separating the two section to re seal it?
many thanks
David.
These are well known for this problem, the plastic is the base unit and the tub sits into a groove, the problem is that the plastic “warps” so there is bugger all you can do with that. You will have a bit of a job to seal it because the moisture usually creeps out at the corners but worth a try.Not sure if the base unit is a spare part for you model if it is then it will no doubt be “Bosch” pricy π―maltheviking

oakleyjo wrote:Thanks. I must admit the general arrangement of the defrost heater did look a bit crap to me. I’ll search for other posts on the subject. If I don’t find anything useful i’ll probably just attach a bit of stiff copper wire to the heater pointing in the right direction and see if it helps keep it clear.
Cheers, Jon
Copper may oxidise, stainless would be better. I used to buy it from sea fishing tackle dealers,be carefull that it does not melt the freezer plastics, de-frost heaters do get hotmaltheviking

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FF200LP Fridge/Freezer keeps icing up
There has been a lot of the same problems with Hotpoint/indeshit FF’s over the years. Hotpoints answer was first lower the defrost heater, then they supplied a new heater kit.,sometimes it works but not always. Really they should have part of the heater inserted down into the drain hole. Basically they have produced another piece of S**t. Do a further search without out the model numbers

Allredy advised that but “She does not want to open the window as she has a new baby!” they have wings around here and might escape. Better to keep the windows closed and let the baby suffer, not. They also have an extractor which I suggested using
