    just noticed on the picture that your heater stat cables are looking a bit crisp.may need a bit of attention.maxx

    thanx guys,eventually found bad connection on module multiplug, sometimes persistance works.

    it seems to be filling ok.checked valve and hoses.im thinking that “metering can”is what i would call a flow meter,paul,ive swapped it but i may try cleaning all the connections on the control module next.this one is stretching me at the moment but its great to have your suggestions .thanx guys.maxx

    try contiuity check on wiring to and from stat .might be broken inside insulation and parting when moved? just a guess.maxx.

    thanks criscold, but theres no rinse hold button .there is,however,a half load button. could this be the problem?

    check the water level sensor [which is in the form of a small pcb similar to a whirlpool water flow meter]best access is at rear of machine

    thanks for the reply brian.
    yes, the machine works with the door shut,and it will open by pulling the manual release.the old interlock was in bits.i checked the swichbank, as you suggested ,which had damaged tracks, this was replaced with a working switchbank from another miele which has damaged bearings.still wont open the door.guess im going to have to spend some time with my meter.thanks again.mac

    hi John, the f1 fault is showing on the topdrawer but the bottom drawer seems to run normally. maxx
