    Re: Who is selling ?

    Thanks for those replies
I am sure the fridge had a leak in warranty like you hinted at Ken The way it works out though, the repair company get paid for a compressor repair from manufacturers
They might even reuse it now when they swap appliances !!
What I do lose a bit of sleep over Martin is the fact that the Manufacturers Technicians here are very unprofessional so when I sell an appliance with that magic 2 year warranty, depending on the brand, it ain’t worth Didley squat !!
The manufacturers are not monitoring these bodies that they sub contract to. As long as they’re cheap then fine ?
Because I know this I feel a bit guilty when a client of mine gets turned over even though legally I’m ok it seems

Re: Use of a timer on Samsung fridge/freezer

Normally these defrost timers switch on an element every 8 hours for a duration of approx 20-30 mins to defrost rapidly so your solution MAY work but a complete defrost/switch off may be required every 6 months ???
That thermal fuse must be under rated ??

    Re: Whirlpool ADP Dishwasher

Morning Dave ! In answer to your question when it pumps out and subsequently dies, the appliance needs to be switched off before it can be restarted where it will do exactly the same thing again – never anything different

Re: Daewoo American FFs no plumbing required

Thanks Ally ! I’ll remember that if I ever sell it !!
My client bought a normal one from me instead when I told him it had a tank?
The Daewoo could be useful for a single person or couple where a water supply is complicated?? I’ll make sure they understand the tank issue so they don’t bring it back though !!!

    Thanks Bob !
This was my lack of knowledge as I had it supplied to me as an American FF from a distributor. Maybe he did not realise ???
OK I will give it some thought but appreciate your insight

I am due to deliver one of these to a large Holiday Villa where 20 /30 people will be back and fore the kitchen refilling their Water beakers or gettjng Ice for the G&Ts etc so it will constantly run out of course. Does anyone know if there is a capability to plumb it in so it works with or without a water supply ?FPN-Q19DVSI is the exact model number.
No info on Daewoos web page

Hi , as I said 3 March that your current door WILL fit
It is just that you may have to cut a 60 cm piece out of the kickboard to allow the door to open fully
That cut will not be visible when door is closed unless you are going to lie down on the kitchen floor ??!! Then yes it will be visible but not unusual to have to do that anyway on a standard Dishwasher

Re: Samsung (side by side) Fridge Freezer RS20CCMS

You now have exactly the same fault as before so advice given before would still be pertinent
Defrost element, thermal fuse, defrost sensor, control module all possible culprits and need to be tested
No short cuts nor quick fix available

Dodgy edge connector on that module ??
Take each one off and check individual pins etc try a contact cleaner in case oxydised
Sounds like a shared nuetral failing intermittantly

    Re: AEG induction hob

If a new glass top is not available for 4/5 weeks then that is not the fault of the Engineer
That type of part is not a common failure so would not be on the shelf but usually arrive well within the given time
Why is the responsibility an issue? Part will not come any quicker?
Don’t forget that you have a repair warranty -AEG have to repair the appliance and take reasonable care which it sounds like they did.
Just very unfortunate with the part availability but not incompetance
