ParticipantRe: Bosch Cooker Hood Lights not working and fan limited
I just got my backside severely slapped with one of these !
Assuming yours is controlled by a module which is likely then
I would not recommend buying the part / module yourself in case motor has caused the fault initially and zaps new module ( speaking from experience here !!)
Get BSH to do it or better replace whole Extractor is my shoutmelec

Kangoos are great but don’t buy the 4×4 as very expensive to run

ParticipantRe: Siemens LC7591/03 Cooker Hood nightmare
I am now waiting for the owner to give me permission to go and get my brand new module back out after Siemens Tech BERd it Luckily I know BSH boys really well and they will refund the money which they definately did not have to do
Had to write a very nice E Mail to persuade them ! Starting to feel a bit better about it now ( just a bit though )melec
ParticipantRe: Neff H5972 microwave fault.
Really sounds like door micro switches
The pressure you are applying is in that area
apart from checking the individual switches also check base plate or support plate is not cracked
Meggar would not pick this up but defo would take RCD outmelec
ParticipantRe: Integrated washing machines
I always rout out new holes , same side but it possibly means can only fix the hinge with one screw ? However even in this worst case scenario none of mine have ever fallen off
As the Insurance Co said Don’t make a drama out of a crisis !!
Trust me , it’ll be finemelec
ParticipantRe: oven doors tnat will not quite close tightly
Got one tomorrow as it happens (Aspes)
Always same comment from customer that they need a new door seal because door won’t close and losing heatmelec
ParticipantRe: oven doors tnat will not quite close tightly
you deserved your money on that one Dave !!
Does n,t sound like you boys get too many of these oven door issues
I get them regular but mostly old ones where people are in a mind not to have the work done anyway
Most common makes I do are Fagor Aspes and Edesa which are from the same factory as I am sure you know . ( Now an embargoed Factory on and off )
I doubt you see many of them ??melec
ParticipantRe: Siemens LC7591/03 Cooker Hood nightmare
original fault was no display at all that is how I know my module worked because after fitting got an 8 in the display which would subsequently not shift even when Siemens guy came
I was not there when he fitted button assy so cannot say
Minimum 2 parts faulty anyway control module + motor and maybe even button assy toomelec
ParticipantRe: ISE 1606 fault part 2
Flood water could have evaporated or leaked out somewhere
you need to eliminate that possibility
look for signs on base plate etcFebruary 9, 2016 at 7:17 am in reply to: Did you know…4 interesting facts about the washing machine #435200melec
ParticipantRe: Did you know…4 interesting facts about the washing mac
I have always believed (so someone must have told me this ) that the energy rating only has to be attained on one cycle (e.g A++)
I suppose it makes sense why manufacturers highlight sometimes ,on the console panel, an ECO cycle in green then the energy rating will be printed in green somewhere on the machine somewhat linking them
Customers think they are buying an energy efficient machine but they are buying an energy efficient wash cycle!!! Truth is none of them ever use that Eco cycle because it takes too long ? They all use the inefficient intensive quick wash THINKING it is A++ or whatever ! I don’t have the heart to tell them !!!!!melec
ParticipantRe: ISE 1606 fault part 2
Do not know anything about an ISE machine but sounds like it is going into emergency mode??
Could be caused by aquastop ? Does it have one ? I.e water leaking into base ? Time out on filling ? Too slow or too much or little
If all present and correct Pressure switch should be verifiedmelec
ParticipantRe: oven doors tnat will not quite close tightly
I have never fixed one with a hinge or receiver !!
My rule for ordering hinges is only do it for a sheared one that is obviously faulty
Just my experience ( costly sometimes , I have quite a few new Hinges in stock that I ordered mistakenly that they will probably bury with me !!!)melec
ParticipantRe: Siemens LC7591/03 Cooker Hood nightmare
My problem was though that I had 240 v to that control module and nothing out !!
Yet still myself plus a Siemens guy could NOT fix that armed with 2 PCBs so how to avoid that happening again???
No access to the motor to put a 240 supply on it without taking off the wall
So how do you teach a youngster the diagnostic procedure here ??
I am not even sure exactly what went obviously guessing that motor is blowing both pcbs but complete supposition at this stage
Thanks for reply Martin -
