ParticipantRe: oven doors tnat will not quite close tightly
Seems like this IS a fairly common occurance giving the same consistent symptoms that 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time there is nothing visible or obvious
Definately though different solutions depending on the manufacturer
I am still going to use my hammer and steel punch to just force back the receiver a tadge as a first response ( just hit the visible part of the receiver through the hinge aperature twice but firmly then put door back on and see if closes )
I must admit to noticing concerned clients expessions when I am hitting their oven with a hammer but my success rate is highmelec
ParticipantRe: Integrated dishwasher + placement help
Hi !
Could put a 60 cm unit to the left of Hob
Water services can pass underneatth the drawers from the sink as could a power supply from most convenient 240v point
A 45 cm unit could go under sink instead of Freezer fitting a Panel in the corner ?
If you are talking tall tub though then you probably would not be interested in a slimline as well but just an option !!!
You will still be able to open the Freezer suffiiently it would seem from the picture even with Rad on the wall??
Not an issue to install a tall tub with your kickboard though it may have to be modified to allow door to open fully
This is a challenging installation to Fill in the spaces left so you need some good ideas e.g wine/bottle shelves or decorative panelsmelec
ParticipantRe: Samsung RS21 JPSV. Leak.
Try and work out if it leaks when or just after you use water dispenser ?
Leave the water switched on at valve overnight if you can as that will tell you whether this is a dispenser fault or water supply fault if you catch my drift !
I imagine that it will still leak even though you do not use it
The water comes up from the bottom of the door in a prefabricated pipe so to my knowledge NOT repairable and have to change door BUT
IF leaking when dispensing or ice melting through a sticking ice chute then a completely different ball game?
See what you can come up with plsmelec

ParticipantRe: What can I do with a stock of washing machines motors?
Can I ask what brand name your Washing Machines had ?
That type of motor is ‘old school’ BUT is still popular in Spain where I own a small retail shop
I have dealings with Moroccan clients whom also may have specialist knowledge as they are geographically closer ?
Also please send a photo of the electrical part ( i.e where it receives the electric plug from the washing machine ) That will help identify it
Do you have anything else ?melec
ParticipantRe: Non-Pump Washing Machine
I can add that I worked on a model just like this in Spain
It was a commercial type Top Loader and as Iadom has alluded to, had a ‘trap door’ type valve that would have been energised at the appropriate intervals
My job that day was to unblock that device of foreign objects which were preventing it from openingmelec
ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher not completing cycle
More info !!
This is a first for me ! Even on rinse program. cycle heats water but leaves it at end without pumping away probably 60 degrees heat but the END light illuminates as it should have
cycle took about 30 mins instead of the usual 10

not liking the sound of ‘not running the full time’ as that is sounding PCBish but you’ll have to meter those stats to be sure

ParticipantRe: Neff H5972 microwave fault.
yes it is a convection !! I dived in when I saw Integrated Microwave
( You say tomato and I say tomayto )
Forget all that BS !!!! That was specific to the Microwave/Grill etc ( 40 x 60 )
Yours is 50 x 60 correct ? (More or less )
Inverter style yes ? If so , I always move them sideways ? The control PCB is earthed also apart from the Inverter PCB to consider??
Big Banana Skin ? Best BSH methinks ? Sorry !melec
ParticipantRe: Neff H5972 microwave fault.
hang on ! This is not a convection oven/micro is it ?
I am talking Integrated Microwave btwmelec
ParticipantRe: Neff H5972 microwave fault.
soz gave you duff info there sort of
All the micro switches are normally open none of them are normally closed but there is something unusual about the microswitch that has an orange nipple ?
Cannot remember properly as have not done one in ages but the two with red nipples are normal but that orange one acts like a safety circuit but I cannot explain it without finding some of my old notes SO DON’T CHANGE IT JUST BECAUSE DOES NOT SWITCH LIKE YOU’D THINK!!
Do not know if this switch assy comes as one piece or you can order individual micros?? I will get back to you if i can make some sense of itmelec
ParticipantRe: Neff H5972 microwave fault.
Must admit that mostly I have had this fault when opening or closing the door but absolutely WILL take out RCD if one of the three switches faulty
I have known this for so long I have forgotten the theory but when I say cracked baseplate I am meaning that it is not supporting the switch and causing it not make or break out of synch rather than it short to earth
Take the assy out and check them but just to be awkward one of them is normally closed whilst the others normally open and they dont click so needs to be metered
I will try and find out which is which later today -
