Re: Hoover AAA160 Interact Auto – Slave Timer?

    Thanks Phil…

Been back today and fitted new slave.. reassembled and m/c not working at all.. no display – no door locking or starting..

Thought maybe loosened off a connection somewhere as a facia dangle job… but tightend everything in sight still no joy.. refitted orig slave.. still not working..

Checked supply in – ok.. live at slave main contacts and door lock.. although door lock has two lives at both middle and green connection but if it was this would suspect I would still get a display up.. pulling what little hair left out by now..

Anyone any ideas.. don’t think the slave was the wrong one (partno 91201338) or connected wrong as connector block will only go one way.. suspect something simple as was working before I changed slave timer.. but all out of idea’s.. can’t see it’s pcb as didn’t touch this only after to check connections.

Has anyone had similar probs or can offer any other comments please.. things gettin bit deperate as spent hour and half there and cust can’t use machine at all now..

    Thnaks

Re: Candy CDI1012 Dishwasher – Module?

    Thanks for the post Loopey..

Don’t think this is a module “hang” as I have not got any of the LED lit at all which makes me think it is main module or possibly program module as supply though on/off switch to module..

But not getting any joy atm as Connect saying it is right module.. although there is no connector for the ribbon cable as on the original.. all very confusing to say the least… 😕

But thanks for all the info..

I’m sure you could start another post with all the remarks that bring a smile to your faces… like

Besides all the regulars like ..Can I hold it for you.. How would you like me to pay you..etc. had a couple just recently…

I can never get my husband up in the morning…

I often do it in the shower… (cleaning out her T/Drier condenser.. what else?)..

It makes my legs go all wobbly when it vibrates like that!!

Re: Candy CDI1012 Dishwasher – Module?

    Thanks Chris

Sorry, the only info I got is model no from front of m/c and dop from customer as all other info on sticker on m/c rubbed off due to cleaning..

If there is another info plate on m/c it will mean kitchen dismantle to find it as unit is intergrated..

There is a number on the module (151a – 41012534) but thats prob no use.. have typed the 4101… no in on Connect as it looks a bit like a partno and it does come up with a module…. but it is special order and only about £8 so I don’t think that is the right module.. no picture either..

Why do manifatures keep changing parts/numbers/models so much?.. cant be cheaper in the long run as all different parts they have to keep and all the agro/time wasting it produces.. 😡

    Re: Glaring design faults

    What about these:

Hoover/Candy T/Driers with a pocelain rear bearing – where you had to strip the whole drum out to change and then found out the drum shaft was knackered anyway..

Hotpoint Condenser Driers with the filter and vent running through the door which is vertualy impossible for the customer to clean the vent out ( if they ever think to do it)

    TOC’s that are not resetable

Hoover/Candy T/Drier relays with the two fixing screws not just under the facia but the front pannel as well! – when all they needed was to fit them from the other side of the relay board.

Tumble Drier streach belts full stop – the load on bearings must be phenominal as we can all see from all the failing machines..

T/Drier condenser design.. why doesn’t anyone make them so they just clip together so the customer at least has a chance of cleaning them properly..

Self Diagnosing elecronic boards that tell me the motors not turning, or the machines not pumping, or the heaters not working ect. – Takes me 5 times as long to find the digonstic code than just switching the machine on and just looking..

Clamp on DIY taps that pierce the pipe and then clog up after a couple of years..

Sink drain hose fittings with anti-syphon valves that clog up with fluff from the washing machine..

and the list goes on.. but I’m just a grumpy old man and should be gratefull for all the work.. 😉

Re: Candy CDI1012 Dishwasher – Module?

Been back to this today to change module..

Ser No. rubbed of side of door due to over cleaning by cust but DOP 29/11/04 so ordered up module partno 41008097 as it pre-dates production (10/01/2006) according to sheets that Chris kindly sent me..

Part arived with partno 49007819 so presume partno change.

Went to fit today and connector pins for switch/light module ribbon cable missing.. There is a simmilar connector on the bottom edge of board which is also on the original and not used.. Didn’t want to connect it without checking first as didn’t want to risk blowing other module

Does anyone know if this is the right partno swap for the above module and if so is there a mod to it or has some one forgot to put the connector on the board?

    Thanks

Re: Indesit Domed Torx Pulley Bolts

    Thanks for the tips guys..

I personally think the only advantage is that thet thet can fit the bolt into a air tool easier and it saves time on production – eg. cost 😯 .. If it’s that much better than a hex bolt why do they have to fix it with Locktight and make the head so big to improve the friction grip on the pully? Hmm.. maybe they can’t tighten it as well as a hex bolt?

I know that trying to undo the damm things with a torx bit the angle of force is all wrong 😡

But glad its not just me who has a problem with these..

    Thanks

Re: Hotpoint CTD00 T/Dry – heater earth fault

Been back and there was a fair bit of gunge in the hidden channel at the back of the condenser chamber.. can’t believe the drain of hole is so small to drain off the back of the chamber (must be specially designed to block after 12 months :rolls: ).. although it can’t have been blocked completely I’m supprised it wasn’t considering the size of it and the amount of gunge that had collected were the eye can’t see..

    Thanks for the help folks..

Sorry Chris… could you send me that info again as it wouldn’t open on my work computer.. it might be that I am only running Acrobat 5.01 due to Distripart Disc..

If you can send it me again then I will open on other computer which has all latestest updates on..
