Re: Beko Condenser Tumble Drier – empty tank light on

    Thanks Elecrofix for the help.

Looks like they do a modified pump Part No 2962510100 where the motor is all sealed and a new tank to fit it in Part No. 2961730100. Only problem is cant get Connect or Masterpart to recongnise the new pump part no. – only the old one. Looks like they have tried to solve this problem tho so must have been giving problems.

Guess will have to go with the old type pump for the time being.

Also looks like the pump unit comes out from the back without taking the drum out – you just need to know about the screw tucked out of sight that alows to to get the top off the chamber.

    many thanks for the help

    Thanks Eastlmark….

    You just confirmed my suspicions….

Think i might be getting to old for challenges like these Martin – they are no good for my blood pressure and stress levels 😉

Think manifactures shoot themselves in the foot when they design stuff like this – customers buy again, which is what i think they want them to do – but not from them…

Thanks for all the replies folks…

    Thanks for the reply Martin

At the moment she is using the m/c so depends on whether she wants to risk not been able to use m/c if I strip down to see what parts are needed – you know what these women are like – it’s the end of the world if the tumble dry is out of action for a few days:)

That why thought uit might be worth taking and changing the bearing anyway as there is some play there – the m/c gets used 2-3 times a day!!! :rolls: – Think she muat take in washing for the street 😉

Still convinced there were no jockey pulleys fitted – but could be wrong

    Hi Folks

Been back to this today – put into diagnostic mode check/reset and m/c now working ok :rolls:

They tell me they have young child who is constantly messing with controls when m/c on – suspect he may have caused computer to freeze some how and entering diag. mode has reset it – unfortunatly had left tap switched off from last visit and not realized so produced a no fill fault when doing a componant test which over road any previous fault code 😳 so no clue what that might have been.

Showed them how to use the child lock facility and ring again if produces the same fault.

Not sure if this helps Micky?

Re: Beko Condenser Tumble Drier – empty tank light on

    Hi Folks

Went to this yesterday and was the pump o/c but just a couple of questions.

The pump looked like it had water damage – as it is in its own little box in the float chamber the water ingress must have got in via the open top – is this just design fault or is there something else going on which would cause this? The box looked dry but obvious water/condensation ingress.

Is there a mod that stops this?

Ended up taking the drum out on this to release the rear clip on the float chamber after struggling for about 10min with drum in position :rolls: 😡 – also noticed a small screw holding the top on which wasn’t obvious with the drum in position as well – is it posible to release the rear clip on the top and do this job without taking the drum out? (just for future ref.)

    Any help/comments appreciated

    Thanks

Re: Zanussi Jetsystem ZWF 14581 W – continual pump out

Must be in the air – been to an Electrolux EWN1478 with exactly same fault – didnt have any tech info 4 this as first one I have come across but found some on my Distriparts disc.

No fault code coming up either altho I didnt have the info to put into diagnostic mode – but have now so looks like a return visit.

I didnt see any other board other than the main pcb so doubt whether this is the inverter board.

Funny enough just been reading this thread before I went altho cust didnt say about pumping out all time just that it wouldnt start program.

Re: Hotpoint WT960P counting down but not doing anything

    Hi Folks

Customer phoned – Hotpoint been changed module – all repaired same day!!

Cost them more than I would have charged but they got full 12mth waranty on rest of m/c as well. – Think they said it cost them about £135 ish all told.

Sign of the times – money tight and the security of not having to pay for any repairs on it for the next 12mths

Yeah – think Hotpoint desperate for work!

But hopefull after 12mths I will get return business – been aready and rebuilt their H/Point T/Drier 🙂

Re: Hotpoint WT960P counting down but not doing anything

Been to one yesterday with exactly same fault – must admit I thought was a module fault and had a word with EMW and they confirmed.

Cust was undecided what to do.

Phoned me later and had decided to get Hotpoint in to do job with a further 12mths waranty on m/c 😥 and Hotpoint were calling that same afternoon!!!

Did ask them to phone and let me know if module was the fault – will let you know
