ParticipantRe: Bosch WFR3267GB/04 – Spin Problems?
Thanks for the replies guys.
Did explain couldnt be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure that drum bearings were the cause of any spin problems (altho they would become a problem pretty soon if they weren’t, listening to them).
Due to the risk and the expense of a rear half change cust going for new m/c when bearings finaly sieze 😯 .
Is there anyway to test Bosh machines on full spin other than a complete wash program? Seems a bit crazy to me to reduce the spin speed on a spin only or rinse and spin program. Makes it a bit difficult for us guys to test fully for spin probs.
Thanks

Thanks Loaf
Phoned and they got one in stock 🙂 Cost £114 + £13 p&p + VAT 🙁
Me I would have guessed £40 tops but then again this is a comercial m/c – hate to think how much the motor would cost!!
But the m/c is old and it could be collector’s prices!
You can see who makes all the profit these days Hmmmm… theres a thought in these days of cheepo w/m…. dreams… 15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} mark up on £100+ parts and £100 call out charges… sigh..
Will keep the phone no… you never know..
Thanks

Thanks guys
Just puzzled me the fact that the t/drier was the only thing i could get on first attempt?? – and wierd fault codes not in manual? 😕
Give the old mech timers anyday over all this electronic fandango stuff!
Going back to day and have another look

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF741 Pump filter
Thanks guys – much appreciated
Looks like Masterpart do a patern individual one for a third of the price of a pack of three but no picture so not sure if it is the right one.
Looks like its a genuine pack of three at nearly the cost of a pump asy 🙁
Thanks

ParticipantRe: Bosch WVF2402GB/02 Inner Drum change
Thanks for the reply Bosch
Presume these are going to be Stainless rivets and the only way I’ve been able to get Stainless out on riveted Spiders is by grinding the rivet out or cuting with a thin grind wheel – both of which result in Spider damage – ok if its just the spider you are changing.
Looks like it is spider and drum job then which now puts job out of viable repair for payin customer.
Well could of been worse – could have ordered the drum and heater up, striped m/c down to find this out 🙂
Thanks for the prompt replies guys – very gratefull

ParticipantRe: work dead
Never known it so slow for me for so long. Been quite since begining of May and is just getting quiter and quiter.
June notably a quite month and expected it to get a bit better but still bad.
Last week if you put all my calls together did a 2day week – nearly as bad as when they shut Rover down here – my work went down to 1.5 day a week then for nearly 2 months.
I suspect it is due to all the unexpectancy in the air, same as last year – quite 3 months then. Coupled with the looming VAT increase people thinking more about saving money – if they anything like a customer I went to the other day she thought that by buying a new m/c before Jan she would be saving loads of money – I pointed out that it was only going up 2.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} which is £2.50 for every £100 spent amd on a m/c cost of £300 all she would be saving is £7.50 – Think she thought it was going to save £20 every £100 if she bought before the increase. VAT going up by 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} :rolls:
Does amaze me how penny pinching the public are though – When the goverment put 1p on the price of petrol the other month there was ques outside the petrol stations by me filling up before it went on – working it out the average car has a 40-50 lt capacity – most of those cars were proberbly half full so that means if they filled them up on average they would be saving 20p – Would you sit in a que for 10 mins to save 20p! If most of them had worked it out Im sure they wouldnt have either – its just they get brain washed or have lost the ability to reason methinks
Think its a brain washed public we are having to deal with 😥
But it can only get better – as they say (hopefully)

ParticipantRe: Bosch WVF2402GB/02 Inner Drum change
Thanks for the reply guys
Only changing the drum, heater and tub seal. The drum has split and been catching on the heater. Does it need a drum spider as well then? Are the drum support bolts a pig to get out then if I need new ones?
So what does make it such a pig job then? It looked reasonably straight forward apart from the weight on the front drum half and the posibility of not getting the heater duct up far enough because of the suspension bar on the top.
Thought the posibility of lying the m/c on its back might help with getting the drum front off?
Thanks

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFX2467GB/01 – skipping to end of program
Thanks Firestater.
Been out to this this morning and is looking like a board fault – It does not select any programes and displays just 1200 spin speed and zero mins left what ever you select.
There was also no supply to the door lock – pump, heater checked out ok motor ok apart from 2Meg insulation res on armature/brush which presumably from carbon dust build up but little lower than I would have liked to have seen.
But looking like a board fault – unless anyone else knows better?
Not brave enough to strip these things tho 🙁
Thanks

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFX2467GB/01 – skipping to end of program
So does skipping to the end of a program denote a motor related fault then? Or just a fault on m/c?
Can you get to the tacho on one of these – think the last Bosch motor I looked at for a suspected tacho fault the tacho was vertually imposible to get at?
Cust says no lights or fault code in window.
Any other pointers to what causes this would be gratfully recieved.
Thanks

ParticipantRe: H/Point WF840 – F03 NTC or Module?
Hi Folks
Just to say it was a module fault as expected.
EMW to the rescue as usual.
Was a bit of a pig to fit due to the bigger than normal size of this module.
Any one done one of these from underneath the m/c? Just wondered on reflection if it would be easier than struggling to get the module out from the back – they dont make it easy for us repair guys these days.
Thanks for all the help as usual guys

Thanks for the replies guys.
PCB is chief suspect but just wanted to run past you guys – thanks
Interesting to note your reply Flyman – these m/c gettin to cleaver for their own boots – had sussed the drain bit but not the fill and drain flush cool off :rolls:
Interesting to note you keep a spare in your tool box Allan – do you have much trouble with these NTC’s then? Must admit I have always found Thermisters/NTC’s resonably reliable and think I have only ever had to change 2 faulty ones – one for an earth leakage and the other for low resistance which was fairly obvious on test. Both of those diferent types to the ones fitted to this type of m/c.
Did check the cables going to NTC – even gave connector a pinch incase it was bad connection but thanks for the tip George.
Thanks again for replies

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWC1300W – module or door interlock?
Thanks for the replies folks.
Sounds a posibility then Allsorts – thanks – but wouldnt it loose the supply to the lights but there again if there was a small voltage getting across it might be enough to light them?
It is only the end of prog light that is flashing Martin – But I cant get it to go into a diagnostic mode to get the other to flash – This is the one that flashes at the customer when there is a fault and the first digit of the fault code – you have to get into diagnositic to bring up the second digit dont you? – I’m not even sure it means anything – I’m just putting it on the post incase it does. It says something in the diagnostics about 11 flashes means “B” (i think – not sure) but without the other digit I cant make head nor tail 😕
Have told the customer I need better access to the m/c to diagnose further and are waiting for them to get back to me atm. (Built in under the corner of two work units and the door only opens about 60deg to get washing in – have to crouch down under work surface to access controls :rolls: )
Thanks
