I use a couple of “rubbery plastic” wine bottle stoppers that I keep in the tool box for all sorts of jobs, stuffing in the end of an outlet hose for example.

    Re: Hoover HPB145 Washing Machine

    Hi Folks.

Went back to this job today, still cant get it out of fill mode. I understand from another source that this is a module fault (common).
In the meantime the customer has found her instruction book, complete with registration of extended warranty. Oh happy days.

    Regards,
    Mike.

    Hi Eastlmark.

The switch had almost fell in half when the sealant/glue holding it together had failed. I sealed it again with silicone and used a cable tidy to reinforce it and it seems fine.
Bit of a bodge but got the customer out of trouble.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Thanks for your response Eastlmark.

I reckon this switch is the one, but none of the distributors seem to have in stock, I have been able to effect a repair to the switch and keep it going whilst the customer gets one from the states via a relative out there.

Thanks for looking up for me.

    Cheers,
    Mike.

    Hi Agro.

Is this a real old f/f? If so I have Lec Manual for it. It looks like you might need LEC77890 for the centre divider. Possibly LECS834 for the bottle retainer bits. You are quite welcome to manual or relevant pages from if you want to confirm this.

    Thanks Jim,

I did wonder where that post went, thought I had lost it in the ether.

I posted this via a link from the public forum, just proves I was searching for previous posts on the subject !.

I did look up on Connect site , module CC000110348 is £38.78 +vat.
This d/w is well under 5yrs old and customer is aware of warranty for parts so I advised customer to take U/G route.

Thanks for your help once again.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Re: the strangest things

A few years ago my wife took a call from a retired parson who needed an urgent call to his oven.

She immediately got me on the mobile, could I attend?.

No problem I said, I am in a queue of traffic right outside his gate!.

    Divine Intervention?

    Hi Mick,

I had a look at Connect mediator and it shows a door microswitch on the parts list. Its usually on the right hand side of the cooker.

    Good Luck,

    Hi Mick,

Had a look as I do have a few diagrams for this Generation of oven, but no luck I am afraid.
Have you checked the changeover switch on the grill door- very troublesome?.

    Hi Folks.

I am looking for a belt for this model.

A friend of a friend has been into the biggest parts supplier in the area and they claim they cant get the belt for this machine?????.

The original belt is a Megadyne p EL1215H8. Can anyone help with a part number please?.

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Mike.
