    Re: Hotpoint FDW70P D/W SN 510181239

    Hi Jim.

I get PLM70 from Connect. Nothing unusual, I expect you can get them from B+Q, just ordinary 50-70mm Jubilee clips. I guess these are what Hotpoint are supplying to their engineers at this time, unless of course the ones I received were incorrectly packed. Has anyone else received these recently, or indeed the thin clips on this part number?

    Regards,
    Mike.

I always use the thin jubilee clips (9900250) they are dear but at least they’re right for the job, i’ve used ordinary jubilee clips in the past but they come off, they’re too wide & don’t sit on hose correctly.

After following this thread, I too needed to fit one of these heaters. Sparing no expense I ordered 2x 9900250 clip v2.
I received, nicely packaged in Hotpoint polybags, two ordinary 60mm x12mm wide jubilee clips at £3.24each. I sent these back and used 2 x PLM70 hose clips off the van stock at 99p each. these seemed to do the job just fine, no real problems at all.

    Thanks Jim.

What was confusing me on this one is there is no mention of 100bit on the rating plate.

    Many Thanks.

    Hi Jim.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

This ones the later blue lift out and the syphon tube is completely clear. Also, it takes the fab con but not the water. On one of the previous jobs I fitted a new drawer complete and it made not a scrap of difference so I am reluctant to go down that route again. I have tried fiddling with the water pressure but its still the same. This customer is not unduly worried by it but I would like to know WHY for my own satisfaction.

    Regards,

    Mike.

    Re: WMA Rinse aid puzzler

    Hi Folks.

I thought I would resurrect this thread as I had another one of the same problem today (In this case a Hotpoint WD61). I have had a few of these in the past which seem to defy all logic and just not work. Todays case took the fabric conditioner through lovely, but leaves the dispenser full of water.
Customer states that its only started doing it during the last week/10days.

Anyone had success with this issue?. Jim, how did you get on with your case?.

    Regards,

    Mike

    Hi Its me Again.

Is there a kind person out there that can answer this query for me?.

This is for the wifes machine so I am in the doghouse at the moment.
I guess that the BTB24 is just a 24amp version of the other, but as its my pocket that will suffer if it goes puff I would like to be sure. All sorts of info on the net but to be honest I dont understand all the sqiggles. Ive got some 24’s in stock so could get the machine going over the weekend (hopefully) if these fit ok.

    Many Thanks,

    Mike.

    Re: Whirlpool AWZ3413 Dryer

I thought that this was a condensor model, and was really expecting a bigger problem than I found.
This dryer was in a recent Barn conversion. An extension to the outlet hose had been threaded through the roof void forming a u trap which had filled with condensate. No airflow= filter light on.
The good bit is they will probably have to take the ceiling down to rectify the problem. Bob the builder will be pleased.
Thanks once again for the response Chris.

    Mike.

Re: Bosch HBN2820GB – Oven door hinge fault

I had this problem very recently with the 096784/096785 hinges, would not quite close after fitting new hinges.
Changed hinges for same again and problem solved.
I guess the hinges had not been tensioned up properly in the factory.
    Hope this helps,
    Mike.
