I see your point and respect your views. However Im not sure that the majority of customers even know who dasa are. In fact no customer as ever mentioned to me that they choose me because I’m a dasa member.
Also as I pointed before in two or three posts the website is being changed.
Unless the website states all are dasa members then I can only conclude that no rules have been broken.

No no no. It doesn’t state anything other than 0800 repair are members of dasa. If you wish to read between the line that’s up to you. But I’ve never heard of anyone ever being convicted of false advertising when the complaint is based on how someone draws there own conclusions. The statments is one sentence long how anyone can read what is not there and then accuse them of misleading the paying public is behind me.
If they had answered “yes all our engineers are dasa members” then there would be substance to your arguement.

So what’s wrong with that statment. 0800 repair are members of dasa. So that is a true and correct statement. AGAIN I must ask!! WERE does it state that ALL engineers are members of dasa??

Ok so were does it say on there website that ALL engineers are dasa members. Maybe I’m wrong but I ain’t seeing it. This started because before it did have the logo on the website. This is about false advertising and I can’t see were they are being mis-leading.

The dasa logo is NOT on the 0800 repair website. So please please explain why dasa need to comment.

Google is not hosting ukw nor is the inventor of the Internet involved in the admin it modding of the site. if this site has nothing to do with WTA then may I surgest that the WTA changes it’s logo so to avoid any comparison.
But as now you would like to take it to a personal level I will now end my posts for now

I’m not prepared to get into another aguement with you ken. Ukw and the WTA share the same logo they promote each other etc etc. I’m not saying that the WTA are pro or against dasa all I’m saying is people may or may not link the two.
As I said dasa issues dasa site and council.

If you read my personal page funky on there you will see that I have worked as a engineer for a miele dealership, mfi, indesit, Hotpoint and servis uk, my website is for me and if Look at it there is a picture of me. I know I know I should model for a living but the money is better in this trade (not). I must also add 16 years in this trade and have done the LG and Panasonic. At the moment I am a one man band although I did start my franchise with an employee who was also factory trained.

Am I wrong to believe that dasa and it’s council like WTA is voted for by it’s members. If so and personally I have nothing against the council but if a member doesn’t feel that the council is not doing it’s job then as a member it is right to vote them out.
On another point if I wrote a email to arsenal football club complaining about my team spurs. Could I expect spurs to answer the complaint. All I’m saying is this thread as become a argument now about dasa. Is it not more appropriate to address that complaint with dasa and not a rival TA as WTA.
My understanding is that WTA has a right to become a TA. But WTA issues should be raised with the WTA and dasa issues should be raised with them. Otherwise it could appear that WTA and dasa are at war with each other. This is were the argument becomes political with the members of the WTA backing WTA and dasa members backing dasa.
I know I’ll be shot at for bring WTA in to it but as this site is linked to the WTA. On lookers may link the two and sense an undertone.
Personally I’m not into politics all I care about is am I busy and will I be earning a decent living this time next year.

Well then dr drill. All I can say is that the website is as we speak being changed. As you can see already there is no dasa logo present. And I’m pretty sure to avoid confusion the statments about “all our engineers are fully trained and crb vetted” is going to change to “were available”.

Again as I posted previously the website is having some changes made to it as we post. Also my details and all the franchises details are on the dasa website. Mine is the Harlow one. Or am I missing something here ??

As I posted before the 0800 cash calls go to the franchises for that area. Very very few go out side the franchise. Why would 0800 heavily Market non franchise areas. When the while concept is based on a yellow van with 7 foot screwdriver attached who are crb vetted and dasa member. Yes some areas will cross over and yes some agents will do some calls. The marketing money as with any franchise comes from the fee’s paid. Now Playing devils advocate. Who would spend money to Market a area and then give it to a agent who works without a contract who could quite legally repair all the other machines in the house without passing it back through 0800 Repair
Also 0800 don’t have a contract with DASA they pay the membership like anyone else.
Just a point. The website also shows cartoon characters. I hope everyone is aware that it’s real people that service these calls not cartoon characters. (light hearted joke). 😆

With respect I am not in a position to comment any further with regards to were franchises are located and marketing strategies. All I’m saying is that the engineers in a yellow van are crb vetted and proud members of dasa. Customers that find the main website are informed at the time of booking if the engineer is a sub-contractor.

The majority of 0800 calls that are booked come from the franchise own websites  0800 do not market areas were they have no franchise or employed engineers.ÂThe main web site comes up in the top 10 searches and through that website very few calls are booked.
Also when the customer rings the office from a area that is not covered by a yellow van  they are told straight away that the engineer is a sub-contractor.Â
I can not give your numbers as this is confidential as with all companies marketing strategy. Â
What I will say is this the percentage is very small that goes out side of the franchise network. Â
My understand is though that the main website is being updated as we speak maybe that is one of the updates.Â
