    Re: Moorgoods

We’ve had one job through from them, pay rate very favourable.

Unfortunately the job we got was also a Necht dishwasher, which is really a Haier 👿

We ordered parts for it which they sent out direct to the customer for us to reattend and fit. Took about 3 weeks for the parts to arrive, though 😕

The parts only came in today so we haven’t reattended yet, therefore I can’t comment on their speed of payment.

More and more people are turning away from it now. Have you been on there lately? It’s horrible! 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of it is e-stores. There’s a few different appliance spares places on there, undercutting each other, to the point where it’s not worth bothering, and they are selling non-genuine cr@p.

These will be used by the DIY free-loaders of the internet. People that are deludered into thinking that everything is cheap on ebay. People that would argue with you because your spare is 50p more expensive than somebody else’s spare. People that you don’t want to deal with anyway.

If they want to buy some non-genuine Hotpoint brushes off ebay, and blow up their motor, that’s fine by me! Enjoy!

How’s that customer care course coming along GB? 😀

Use an off-site image host. Imageshack.us is a popular one

I should imagine so, we all have to earn our crust 😉

You should be able to get a price over the phone before booking a call.

Different companies will work to different systems. Some charge a flat rate, others charge per designated time period (e.g. per 1/2 hour). Ask what the rates are before you confirm any appointment.

    Open door

Switch on with door on/off button

Within 3 secs (before display comes on) press programme button 4 times

Lights 1 & 5 should now be flashing (if not repeat until you have this situation)

Press programme button once more and you should be left with only the 5th light flashing.

    Switch off (don’t close door)

Leave for a few seconds then switch back on.

    Select programme and close door

Machine should now work (stick it on a rinse – if it gets past the main fill you should be OK)

    Re: Smeg D/W Fault codes?

Numbering the lights 1-5 from left to right:

If I can assume that it’s 1,2 + 3 on and 5 flashing then the machine is displaying E7 – defective turbine functioning

This alarm is generated when the timer card does not detect the signal comig from the turbine.
    This defect can caused by:
    – defective turbine
    – turbine electric connections wet
    – electric connections are not properly connected
    – defective electric card

I would suggest attempting to reset the board first, though, as a spike in the supply current could have tripped it. The reset procedure has been posted several times previously; try searching for Smeg AND Reset in the forum search feature

Up at the top of the door there is a small slot on either side of the fascia. A special key is used in these to release the door from it’s top brackets.

You could try it with a small flat screwdriver if you are careful.

Power off please before attempting anything.

Failling that you can try Repairs@ for a local engineer to do this for you.

This is a Smeg built appliance and is probably worth repairing, barring any major component fault (motor, PCB).

    Uhm, OK.

The model number should start with DWI, DWD or DWF or similar.

A typical example would be DWF64SS.

Failing that, are there four or five lights on the PCB display?

Sounds like the board’s tripped. Do you have a model number?
