You need to press the button one final time to bring the board back out of the test phase. There should be a pause between this last button press and the initial four (both end lights should be flashing at this point π ).

If you find a post in which you think too much information has been passed out to a member of the public could you please notify a moderator.
Any such post will be evaluated and edited as appropriate.
The purpose of UKW is not just to refer everyone to a repairer; this will not maintain the current levels of interest in our site.
Sometimes you have to give a little to get something back π
As has been said, many of the public posters are going to have a go themselves regardless. I’d much rather we could at least advise them to proceed safely.
By offering people free assistance we are far more likely to be remembered for future use than if we just advised that every repair should be directed towards one of our members. Most of the DIYers will only get so far into a repair anyway before realising they have bitten off more than they can chew.
By making a repair a viable option we can help lessen the throw-away culture of modern machines, and when the now potential customer realises that it’s not as easy as they at first thought then they’ll know where to come to get professional help: Repairs@
Softly softly catchy monkey.

This is what the manual says for E2 error:
Water level incorrect
Fault:The electronics have sensed a βtimed outβ situation.
Water levels inside the dishwasher have failed to make the required level, in the time allowed.
Possible siphoning
Cause:1. Water supply has been turned off, supply hose has been restricted by another appliance.
2. No supply from tap (faulty plumbing). Waste hose too low allowing water to flow down the drain.
3. Has (plumbing or central heating) work been done that could have altered the settings of the appliance?
But with E2 it’s just as likely to be an internal leak or, most likely, a blockage somewhere.Checking for crud in the sink waste trap would be a good place to start π

It’s possible that the water container switch has become jammed, or that the bottle and/or pipes have become clogged
:plug:
Pull the plug if you go to have a look to see if there are any blockages.

Β£65 labour is very reasonable for a dual fuel appliance. It costs a lot to CORGI certify an engineer for gas work.
Main oven fan assembly part number 6992500763 retails at Β£32.91 excluding VAT & P+P
Grill thermostat part number 818730033 retails at Β£45.99 excluding VAT & P+P
If both of these parts need replacing then you’re looking at about Β£100 in parts costs.
As to what you can do; if the machine is out of warranty then very little. Appliances can and will fail at some time, it’s just a question of when. Some unfortunately fail faster than others, often without apparent cause.
In all honesty I don’t think either your retailer or manufacturer will want to become involved in this. It will be up to yourself to arrange for a repair to the appliance.
You can try Repairs@ for a local engineer from the UKWhitegoods database

The motor is part number 31X0131 and retails at Β£110.66 excluding VAT & P+P. It’s not the sort of thing to attempt a DIY fit to be honest.
Before replacing the motor I would strongly advise getting professional help as it may well be something else that is at fault. Pipes further in may have become blocked which can be stripped and cleaned.
Try Repairs@ for a local engineer.
If you go for a look yourself then please pull the plug :zap: before doing anything, and watch out for the sharp edges
