I like the cut of your jib. This was how we used to do it as well.

When I was 17 I was told to go into stores and ask for a long stand. The stores gut just looked at me with pity in his eyes when I did so 😳

    Re: Slugs in Dishwasher!!!

Saw the same thing in a house in Glasgow. Woman swore blind she never left the dishwasher door open and we found one in her sink (which the DW drained into) as well 💡
Wouldn’t have thought it would have made it all the way up the drain hose and through the pump, but there didn’t seem to be a better explanation.

    Drin

We’re having trouble finding a listing for that model number; it may be an older/discontinued model. (only model reference was for an old Smeg machine with no info availalbe).

Give us a bit of time & we’ll look ito it for you.

Alternatively, if you have a digital camera could you post up some pictures for us as this may help us identify it for you.

Without the model number we’re kind of stuck (ADP…. APL…. or AHY….) but on some of these the ringer selections can be cycled through by holding in the ‘-‘ button

There’s not much more than a switch, a thermostat and an element involved in heating this machine. Most probably the thermostat has failed but you might want to have it properly diagnosed by a local engineer to confirm the fault. Try Repairs@ for professional help.

FYI, the thermostat is part number 76X3759 and retails at £31.39 exc. VAT & P+P

    Switch is 78X2442 £20.74 exc. VAT & P+P

    Element is 76X3719 £26.99 exc. VAT & P+P

If you wish to order any of these parts you can do so by sending an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

Sorry Mike, I wasn’t paying attention & thought you had said drain pump

The motor for this machine is part number 31X8374 and retails for £110.99 exc. VAT & P+P.

Are we going to need another blanket?

I’m afraid I don’t have a circuit diagram here. There is only one version listed which comes as a kit with the capacitor.

Hmm. Is this a new oven?

Does the oven heat up regardless of where you turn the control to (i.e. fully on or fully off)?

Re: Askoll circulation pump no go, in Hygena d/w

If this is one of the semi-integrated Brandt made ones then the genuine part number is 31X8546 and retails for £64.31 exc. VAT & P+P 😯

When Mike’s recovered from this (anyone have one of those silver blankets & a hot drink?) does anyone have a pattern alternative?

It looks like a standard twist-fit Askoll will do.
