If that hadn’t made me chuckle so much i’d have said that was really mean 😆
Funny how the smallest of comments can brighten ones day 😀

ParticipantRe: Old Indesit 800 hose.
That looks like the little begger, the model is simply 800, I always asumed they were known as the 2000 series machines, I seached on indesit 2000 and only got the later ones, (with the bent end)
I slept on my other halfs side of the bed maybe some of her hair rubbed off and I was having one of her Blonde Moments as she puts it.
Thanks Alot for giving me a poke and waking me up 🙂

ParticipantRe: Cost of dealing with the public
I’ve had another recorded delivery letter with a 24th May deadline to avoid legal action.
I have prepared a letter to reply which I wouldn’t mind a second oppinion on, if anyone feels they are able to give an honest opinion of my intended reply, please PM me and i’ll send you a copy.
Thanks all

ParticipantRe: Indesit W123 Flashing Error codes
Hi
I believe this is usually caused by a blockage in the air pressure chamber or a faulty Pressure stat, although it has been known to be caused by a blocked pump also.
If you have already checked your pump and filter then I suggest you try
Repairs@ to find an engineer locally.Hope this helps

ParticipantRe: I got my connect acc WOO HOO 🙂
I did have a seme account, but forgot all about it, from what I remember they were OK ish,
Been quite happy with my maddocks, masterpart and washvac up to now, and use RS for odd bits like relays for hotpoint condenser dryers, not gen but are loads cheaper and higher rated and never fail.

ParticipantRe: Cost of dealing with the public
I followed advice given above and ignored her thinking hoping she would go away as quickly as her recorded delivery letters arrived, I have received a further letter from her saying along the line of.
“this is the second time I have sent you a copy of this invoice, here is an outline of the damages I will be seeking via legal action”
She gave the same list as before and another copy of the Indesit invoice, I am half tempted to write back telling her to proceed with her intended action, and if I have to have a day off work to attend court I will be seeking costs for my time, if and when she loses her case, as I can’t see how a court will uphold her claim.
I am waiting her next letter 🙂

ParticipantRe: Zanussi FJS 1597w door handle
Hi, sorry I had to go out on calls and also release the poor womans knickers from her Zanussi as I think she’d run out judging by the tone o desperation in her voice.
If you could get one that would be great, I think she’s happier now that she can use it (cable tie round pecker for her to tug on to open door).
It’s just so annoying, Since Washvac have moved they keep virtualy no stock here, I know they are not the cheapest but they are only 30 mins away from me and used to keep most things in stock. now you have to order it and have it delivered at their high delivery price or wait for it to be delivered to sittingbourne then pick it up. Which is OK providing the stock levels are correct at both ends (which is what caused the cock up with this handle).
Well that’s my moan over 🙂

ParticipantRe: Candy CDW 587X Timer Faulty ??
Thank you muchly
Your a star,
I’ve just filled in my Connect Application form and have it in my little hand ready to send.
As WashVac is just up the road, i’ve always used them. but since they moved they don’t keep hardly any spares at the trade counter any more so i’s time to look elsewhere for spares.

ParticipantRe: Cost of dealing with the public
Wel I have my copy of the indesits’ invoice and as I had diagnosed the module was faulty.
£127 for changing a module ??? no way 😯
I am now going to reply back to her stating that as my diagnosis was correct and if she had not called me she would still have had to pay the same amount to indesit whether I had looked at it or not.
And if she wishes to try to pursue the matter then she’s more than welcome but I will counter claim any time I need off work to deal with the case, and as this could realisticly be charged at £40 per hour.
Any other suggestions ??

ParticipantRe: It’s ‘be nice to Martin’ day today!!!
Happy Birthday Martin ( although it’s now nearly over)
I thought it was tradition for the birthday boy to buy cakes for the office, as seeing as this is a sortof cyber workplace I think this counts.
So A belgium bun for me please 😆

ParticipantRe: Error Code “FP” – Whirlpool Sixth Sense AWM 81
It is possible to have something causing the problem at the entrance of the sump hose, But it is unlikely.
You have not mentioned exactly where the waste pipe goes, Does it have it’s own seperate waste or does it plumb in to the base of your sink ??
If it is into the base of the sink check to see if there is a one way valve (usually grey), these quite regulary block up and stop machine draining, as do 5p coins and the odd button.
Get the waste pipe as low as possible and get the end into a bowl and check if the water syphons out OK, if it does then set it to drain, if there is no significant difference in the speed the water comes out, then there is a good chance the impeller has broken off shaft, and although visually it will look OK and spin freely, it won’t be able to bite on the the shaft so thefore will not spin when running.
A good way to test this is to UNPLUG THE MACHINE, get as much of the water out as you can, the filter needs to be undone so take nessisary precausions to avoid water damage.
Remove filter, Using a long pokey thing of your choice, turn the impellor round, it should “ping” if you know what I mean, if it spins freely without a ping (you’ll know what I mean if it does it) then the pump has probably had it due to the above having happened.
On the other hand, if No water comes out when you lower the hose, then you are still faced with a blockage, and as I have stated before Coins are a favorite cause of mystery blockages, they make the perfect seal across the enterance and exits of pumps and can sometimes be difficult to find.
If and only if you are competant and have removed the plug from the mains, Remove the Grey waste hose from the machine. which looking at your earlier post you are quite able to do and make sure it is empty, these also suffer from being getting clogged up with muck.
With no water in, it should be quite light. if it feels quite heavy (for a thin plastic pipe) then this could be blocked with limescale and sludge, they can be cleared but to be honest for the sake of £5 from B&Q you can get a new one, if you want to clear it, go outside, hold it like a skipping rope and hit the floor a few times and then run a hose pipe through it, you will be supprissed at just how much crap comes out. do this a few times till it’s clear, re-assembles and test.
Hope all this helps
