Hm. Not sure I’m that keen on Parkinson Cowan… is there anything else you could recommend with this kind of spec?

    Re: Sold The First One

Having had a damn good look at the appliance, I have confidence in it and as a consequence have sold 2 to date, with several more pending. The fact that a new venture of this nature is certain to have teething problems should be obvious to anyone. If a few machines have to die in the first weeks, that’s how it goes. In my Comet days, you would have been horrified at how we kept some new product launches going – and that’s the biggest retailer in the country.

Bear in mind that UKW has never failed on a promise yet – everything that the Directors have said they’ll do to date has been achieved.

Anyway, let’s try and be positive here. We have an opportunity here to change the way our businesses work – this is just the first step. Hopefully we’ll finish up with a range of “engineer specified” quality products that we can offer our customers with confidence. To panic over an initial glitch is very foolish.

    Go for it,
    Chris.

It’s on Cometspares at £28! It’s the small handle from the old Ocean machines if that helps……….

Re: Beko concrete bolts sheared off. How extract from plasti

Last one I did, I went to my local “proper” irommongers and bought some rather more substantial ones for about 13p each. Bit of imagination and lateral thinking helps no end.

The extractor kit is an equipment purchase, so is deductible as an expense against you tax bill. Don’t mess about with it, do it right.

Triac might be knocked out, but it’s listed as a spare (155272), so repair of the power board is obviously an acceptable corse of action.

    Re: F + P fault

Software fault – Motor board fault, connection failure between boards are possible culprits.

You could try disconnencting the form the power supply breifly; it may power up properly when reconnected.

Ok, 240v to the heater, resistance through the heater and no heat? Time to get the heater tube checked for earth leakage………

FYI – Trilobite is “an appliance enthusiast” – his friends worry about him 🙄 . Had a PM exchange a few days back. Just a little concerned as he’s tagging into the odd thread.
