    Re: F&P GW611 Problem

You’re halfway there – now you’ve got the size error. So – Press and hold “Water temperaure up”, then press “Power”. You should now have up to three LEDs lit – “cold water”, “low water” and “hold”. For a 5kg machine, press “wash temp up”, then “power”. For a 6kg machine, press “water level up”, then “power”. For 7kg, press “spin speed up”, then “power”.

To see if you’ve got it right, start a programme……..

Presumably pump wearing, Mark – they can become intermittant as they get older.

Should solve the problem for you. It’s not on the list, but it is the right one.

    Power off when fitting.

    Re: Servis M4605 no heat

This is a digital machine, so if it is completing the cycle it must think that the water is hot, therefore you are probably looking at a problem in the control circuits. Possibly thermistor, more likely the computer board.

Time for an engineer – this will be awkward to diagnose correctly – check the link in my signature.

    Power off if investigating further……

No – top board is the “Display board” – you need the big one beneath it.
    Good luck,

Re: Tricity Bendix TB 85 F Freezer Door Seal

Seal is listed as a spare – 2248007-01/1, so presumably it can be changed. Lift the edge of the seal – if you see screws, you should be OK.

Motor control board has crashed, Wheel. P/no 425260, I believe you can get reconditioned/exchange units at a sensible price.

I hate to say this, but beyond a few generic parts that fit other appliances as well as yours there have been no parts for the old dryers for at least 15 years……..

Drop the hose into the washing up bowl and wait for the flow to stop. Remove kick panel and empty filter. Hands and knees to see, check around the propellor as well.

    I’d bet on a 5 pence piece……

    Re: Bocuse Range 4040DB

If the top’s working you have power going in – if the ovens are not working you should check that the programmer/timer unit is set to manual – usually some sort of “hand” symbol. Nothing happens if you’re in the “timed” mode and it isn’t set OR if the clock hasn’t been set in the first instance.

I’m with Martin114 – mains suppressor. Had this a few times, no obvious reasons but swapping it out did the trick.

Your car (or van’s) MOT is an anuual event. All it proves is that at the moment at which the Certificate is signed, your vehicle is safe. The testing of an appliance is exactly the same. At the point at which you tested it, it passed. The minute you leave, you have no idea what will happen.

However, to satisfy your conscience if nothing else, you’ve got to do it!

You will need to buy all three to do the job properly. I would suggest contacting spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk as they will almost certainly be able to supply at a more favourable price.

We cannot tell you exactly how to do the job, sufficed to say that you need a steel bar and a big hammer.

If you are not confident, check the link in my signature.
