ParticipantRe: Ariston KLS61 Dishwasher Handle
Have you got the rest of the letters after the model number? Check label down the side of the door, there appear to be about 8 versions of this appliance 🙄

Crucial actually Mike. As each new generation of appliances comes out, we start the ritual battle of trying to extract technical information from the manufacturers. Most basic of these are the error codes put out by the machines when they fault. Whilst they are not a magic bullet to repairing machines they do help with the dignostic process – especially on a site like this where we are helping people remotely.

ParticipantRe: Washer / Dryer Purchase advice
Unfortunatley, cheap is half the problem, Ernie.
Consider the Zanussi ZWD1261W, around £350 and the Bosch WVF2402 at around £390. The dryers on these ones do actually work although the energy consuption of any washer dryer can hardly be considered environmentally friendly……

6205 and 6206 are the bearing sizes – you’ll get them anywhere. 1249685-00/7 is the seal, OD62mm, ID 35mm, no indication of depth, so you might be best ordering the gen component.

Timer set to auto is usual culprit.

Start relay trying to start compressor. Not succeeding. Compressor will need replacing. Expensive.
Sorry – you said keep it simple.

For heavens sake – if one of our trade members knows what the light codes mean, will they please post them in the error codes thread in Trade Tech? Soonest…….

ParticipantRe: F&P GW611 Problem
Soviet Republic of Oz, eh?
Right, the cold valve is the “proportional” type – flow varies with voltage applied – hot valve is a conventional “open/closed” type, so the computer may not operate the valve correctly and may well detect another error………
The valve is p/no 425320 – Kiwi suggests it’s not an expensive part, but I can’t really advise you as I’m still in the Motherland.
I’d start there, assuming that you’ve got some sort of supply to the valve – it should max out at 12vDC.

Try 91171104801 – piccies come up on that one and it’s the same model number.

ParticipantRe: Replacement Slimline Dishwasher – Recomendations?
They are all the same basic units – choose your extras. As is the NEFF integrated machine I linked for you. The trade generally like Bosch as a well made appliance with no major servicing issues. 2 year warranty is popular, spares are generally easily sourced when required and mostly sensibly priced.
Take your pick and buy. 😀

ParticipantRe: hairer fridge
That’ll be over half the cost of the machine – it’s £280 new 😯
