Re: Diplomat ADP8234 – Error Code E1 – Please Help!

E1 is the flood protection system operating – water has leaked into the lower base of the machine and tripped the float switch, which over-rides the programme. Machine should drain, although until the water level drops in the under tray or the power is cut the drain pump continues to run. So………. find the leak.

However, your comments about the display being corrupted are rather worrying. This does point to problems with the computer. These can be awkward to diagnose, so perhaps time to seek pro help? Check the link in my signature.

    Power off before going inside.

Re: Indesit DG6100W Programmer not advancing

Heat is the most likely culprit. The “Rapide” programme and the “Pre-wash” run against time, the others rely on the timer stopping for heat and being re-started by the thermostat completing the circuit upon reaching temperature.

Check element, thermostat operation and door wiring. If all OK you are probably looking at the timer. Given the age of the machine and the expense of the the timer you may well be best considering replacement. However, carry out all tests first and report back.

BTW, if the replacement element has failed, you need to check fill levels and whther or not the machine is circulating properly – rotor opeartaion is critical on dishwashers.

Power off for all internal investigations,

If you have a worthwhile budget, definitely look at the Brittania and Mercury products. Expensive, but quality.

It’s a White Knight in a skirt, so check that the front bearing skids are in place and check that the rear drum support is not breaking away from the drum.

Hi Nick – regret that the codes you have given do not match up with any recognised lists.

To enter the diagnostic mode, hold “Wash Temp Down”, then “Power”. Use “Spin Speed” button to illuminate to “High Water” led, then read off wash progress lights from right to left. It’s a binary code – 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 etc.

Re: Fisher & Paykel 608 stops at spin cycle

Oh ‘eck – the problem with this one is how to describe the fault…. It’s described as a bowl disengage fault. When the machine is full of water, the tub floats up the shaft and the agitator does its stuff. When it empties, it’s supposed to drop down onto a toothed drive and thus be driven by the motor. Presumably the load on the motor tells the computer whether the tub and clothes are being driven or not. The water level control can give a false reading to the computer if the air hose is blocked or detatched – alternately the motor control board can be at fault.

Sounds awful complex to me – time for some pro help?

Not unless DC knows better….. You’ll need the door switch eventually anyway, as they melt! Be ready for Christmas.

Pay attention 007……. This is a Fagor built machine, and it’s the same as the Creda WO801W, so – if you can’t get it through Frigidaire, we can get it as a Hotpoint part! Number is 1603203, about £12 from memeory.

Re: Diplomat ADP8902 – Unknown error codes

There is no reset as such…… I suspect your code indicates that the flood protection has been activated and shut down the programme accordingly. If there is no obvious leak it will almost certainly be the water level control playing up. This works on air displacement into a diaphragm switch, so that is the place to start checking – check for skinny hoses and see where they start and finish.

    Power off, of course.
