The thermostats on the hose elbow should be normally open – timer stopped until relevant thermostat completes circuit and restarts timer.

The concensus suggests the display module (the top one). Obviously we can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure. The part number is 425360, which should allow you to get an accurate price.

If you are at all unsure, you should get pro help to avoid an expensive mistake!

First one doesn’t appear to be a valid fault code, second one suggests a problem with the display board………

However…… What went “Bang”? If the boards are lighting up and programming, I’d be tempted to check the motor, especially as the motor should agitate during fill – if it doesn’t, that’s a fault.

To resolve the door latch problem you will need to replace the fascia panel – Dave Conway will be able to price that up for you.

The lights indicate a no heat problem. This can be caused by the element failing, thermostats, wiring or the computer board. Given the various possibilities, it may be time for pro help. Check the link below.

Power off if you wish to investigate further.

Cold water valve not working. Can be dodgy wiring, electronics or valve itself.

    Re: WMA bearing change

The seal originally fitted was a two part all in one seal, using a spring to push the two parts together. The theory was that the spring was too powerful and caused the sealing surfaces to bind together, jam and allow the water in. The new one is supposed to have got round this problem and is known as a Rubena – presumably the maker?

    Re: diplomat model APM8722 problems

This is a Merloni-built appliance, which you have paid quite a premium on! Your current problem points to the water level switch actually being faulty this time – level control not functioning, but flood protection level is.

MFI is one of the more reasonable suppliers; it would certainly be worth contacting them pointing out the tale of woe to date and seeing if a discretionary service call could be made. If that fails, click the link at the bottom of the post for a UKW engineer.
