Go into repairs@ or Directories and type in your post code. A local UKW repairer will soon be revealed.

The usual reason for the safety to trip is poor circulation caused by underfilling. This will ultimately manifest itself as the E2 fault, which is extensively documented through this forum.

That’s concise, simple and clear. Lets keep it at that.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Classix WTL6003 Cond Dryer
It’s infamous (in the trade) because it’s a total s@d to work on….
The “proper” Bosch dryers are excellent (“Made in Germany” label, not “Made in EU”) but relatively expensive. Zanussi and Whirlpool do perfectly adequate models.
Check the hose coupling first – it’s an easy fix if that’s all that’s wrong.

The bearings and seal are contained in the cross piece on the back. The tub itself is a sealed unit.
If you wish to check this out further, exercise extreme caution around the rear access panel, as the edges are horribly sharp.
Power off before removing any panel.

You’ve picked a good one here. This is the infamous White Knight Condenser dryer (with a Bosch badge stuck on the front).
There is a lift pump in the bottom, however, the blockage is usually to be found in the chamber on the rear panel where a drain hose may be attached. This is very susceptible to blocking up. Power off you are going to investigate.
Beyond that, it’s usually a complete demolition job to strip the base out. Pro help is often the best route to go for this – check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW engineer in your area.

It’s 700mm wide as well, so it ain’t going in the standard width gap.

ParticipantRe: UKW CHARTER (amendments)
I don’t have a general problem with 12 month g/ts – indeed modules from EMW I fit quite happily with 12 months g/t, despite Tony giving 6 months – it’s a reasonably balanced risk.
We don’t guarantee door catches (people break them), Hpt stat kits (people break them), blockages (had one last week – new pump motor, only 2 days to block the new one – bill followed) – the list could go on. We probably all have our own quirks as to what can be reasonably guaranteed.
This is the clarification to be made.
We need an addendum to the affect of user misuse and safety components actually fulfilling their function.
Perhaps “….. excepting customer misuse and components designed to fail in a safety situation” ?
Late and tired so better ideas please……
Chris.
