    Re: SMEG DWF66 Reset Procedure?

Curious – how do you set the programme? As this is a Brandt-built machine the re-set procedure is not applicable – this was for the SMEG appliances, although most digital dishwashers have a programme cancel method if not an actual re-set.

Lid and rear cover will need to be removed – mind the edges. Follow the hose round and find the hole. If you replace the black rubber type hose with clear plastic it will last rather better.

    Power off of course.

We don’t have a great deal of experience with these in the UK, and I haven’t got any tech info either. Hang fire ’til Alexa gets back, he seems to have the Oz spec tech info.

It’ll be a gen spare Andy, unless it’s a recon; just an earlier version. The implication is more that it’ll be a used component, with everything that comes with that.

Overfilling on this range of machines is almost always caused by the pressure switch hose chaffing through against the drum. This is a skinny hose which runs from the collecting bell on the back of the drum, round the casing to the pressure switch at the front.

Power off if you are going to investigate this yoursefl. :plug:

Earlier version, Spence. Like for like fitting IIRC. Make it absolutely clear that you are not liable for guarantee, or if it goes bang on power up………

    Welcome aboard BTW.

Set the position lever to the middle. Select “Pre-Wash”, adjust lever ’til water runs through drawer slot “I” only and you should be about right. Next time mark it……….

Ah, right – Battlefield Band – mad Scots – piper with 1.5kW Marshall stack – Iraq would have surrendered without wanting to know what’s under the kilt – could have saved a lot of trouble. Eastlmark will understand 😀

If you are certain about the bearings and the rest, I would suspect the drum support. Turn the drum until each drum paddle is at six o’clock, then try and pull it towards you. If any one of them move towards you the drum support will be broken. I would still suspect the bearings though.

12-ZN-03 is a gen CESET brush – just doesn’t say Zanussi on the tin. The Whirlpool ones are handed the othder way – you can get them as 12-SV-02. Again, gen quality, so they all work properly. Bit dearer, but hey, no problems. Regularly on offer too.
