I take it that this is an SPS2100GB/– slimline dishwasher? The standard no fill fault is the tank on the rear being able to drain through the softener matrix (The orange gunge at the bottom) and into the machine. If the rear most vertical channels of the matrix are full of water, so is the tank. If they are empty – so is the tank. If the tubes are full, it would indicate a softener problem, if they are empty it would point to the valve.
The water inlet valve is p/no 057091 @ £12.46 plus Vat & P+P from http://www.bshappliancecare.co.uk

ParticipantRe: Diplomat Dishwasher not washing!
Steve,
Diplomat dishwashers have come from various sources over the years, including Brandt, Smeg and Whirlpool. Without the model number, we cannot give you any sort of accurate prognosis. Check around the edge of the door, or the surround for a code staring “ADP—-“. It really is crucial……….At a rough guess, the flood protection system has been activated, hence the drain pump running continuously. Draining the undertray will get the machine going again, but you will have to find the leak.
However, this is mainly conjecture without the model number………..

The “pip” on the ends of cable usually hook into place without any problems – it may well be the outer sleeve not fully pushed home – check both button and lock end. As you have observed, it can’t actually shrink 😀 .

Pcb is p/no C00084331, and is supplied without the eeprom fitted. Contact spares@ukwhitegoods.com for price and availibility etc.
Regret fault 12 does not seem to be a valid fault code – however it is always worth checking the heater circuits on these.

Small thought upon reflection – is the release cable sleeve fully keyed home at both ends – that will sometimes prevent the lock from activating properly.

Join, Chris, join……….
All the compact/table top machines use an electric pump to drain the water and can reasonably lift about 1.5 metres. Only thing to be careful about is routing the outlet hose to avoid the possibility of back filling from the sink spigot.
