    Re: Repairs@

Short term solution for say the next three months. Separate forum in the trade section open to all trade members headed Repairs @ Ukwhitegoods.com. Import relevant threads, Sticky intro as the header. People will read it because it’s “new” (to them). Seemingly a lot of readers cherry pick what they read, or don’t keep up with the forums if they don’t come on regularly, but will spot something new, especially if it’s up near the top of the forum list.

Let’s face it, I read just about everything ‘cos I’m incurably nosey, but plenty of people will be using the site just to cover their own areas of interest.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

    Re: Bosch WTA-2000

There are three thermostats on the WTA2000 – the “flying lead” stat on the backplate, the safety (or “red button”) thermostat, and the exhaust thermostat in the bottom. All should be normally closed.

Failing that, check the wiring hints above – you may have dropped a stitch.

Strange really – this was the very first thread posted on and it’s come back tol life!

    Pull the plug first……………. :plug:

    Esteemed Mr Conway, Sir :rotl:

In view of the passage of time, your known absent mindedness and the fact that you’ve had a week in the sun, may I humbly suggest that the Punch Line is now due?

    Ineffably yours,

Temperature sensor is out of circuit – check wiring to sensor; it is very vulnearble when the bearing support is pulled off.

    Re: Necht Dishwasher

I think that you will find the auto reset was a limited free issue last year, so it will be a chargeable part now. If you contact spares@ukwhitegoods.com with the model number, one can be ordered at quite reasonable cost.

And yes, stick with powders and separates.

You are unlikely to get a free call out these days. Most engineers can no longer afford the luxury or the time. I would suggest that you check in repairs@ or the Directories for a UKW engineer in your area. If you contact them with the full model number, you should be able to get some idea of cost.

    Re: Hoover AAA 160….HELP!!

I asked this a couple of weeks ago in the Trade side of the site and whilst there were a few ideas, no-one actually had the answer!

Give it another half an hour and it should have finished programme…….. 😆 😆

    Pat,
Providing you haven’t thrown the remains of the knob away, the part required is called the knob adaptor – p/no 4812 413 18198. An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.com quoting that number will sort out price and availability for you.

Quick way to check if it’s heating is to wait about 10 minutes after you hear the “thunk” of the dispenser opening – then switch off and open the door! Steam should rise……….
