The shop@ facility on the site will certainly be able to get one for you, although they will need the actual model number of the appliance ( APM……../AHY…….. or the like).

That’s the stuff – if you use it, absolute cleanliness is required to ensure a good bond.

Re: Fisher Paykel Washer Mainboard Fault

This is getting awfully complicated…… Multiple flashing lights on the wash panel indicate a power supply failure to the main board, BUT flashing spin light is for out of balance load………… which is switched by the pendulum sensor which you have replaced. 🙄 The parts list illustrates no separate power supply or transformer, so this must be integral with one of the boards. If you’re lucky, this may be a dry joint on a board, a visual inspection may spot it. Otherwise, we’re coming back to the same old chestnut – board failure.

This is very frustrating in one sense. Over here we have s@d all tech info for most appliances, but plenty of “hands on” experience – these ones, I’ve got the tech info, but very little experience!

There was a guy posting on the site a year back who was reconning these boards in OZ, but he never became a member, so we have no way of contacting him. Googling down under might find him? Let us know if you do!

The thermistor is p/no 50273371-00/0 – £8.02 plus the usual, spares@ukwhitegoods.com will get it for you if you wish.

However, confirming the diagnosis is the critical bit. If you can’t do that, time for an engineer. Check repairs@ukwhitegoods.com or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

Do nothing yourself without pulling the plug first.

Temperature sensor, or associated circuits. Computer not detecting temperature rise within specified periond.

Awkward one to sort – engineer time?

    Re: hotpoint wma66

    Dave,
Thermistor and element readings are acceptable. The power feed to the heater is from the control board and from the pressure switch. Assuming that the machine stops filling, you can accept that the pressure switch works. This points towards the control board…. Dry joint at relay perhaps? If not probably a logic failure and board will have to be replaced.

    Good luck, power off…….

Is this an inch left in the filter hole, or across the bottom of the machine? Also, model number please.

    Re: desperatly seeking user instructions

    Martin,
Philco is now part of the Indesit company. Whether the manual will still be available from them is debatable, but it is a starting point. They will need the model number though – Softline just defines a group of machines.

BTW, the basic programme information should be displayed along the top edge of the control panel or lid. From memory, the programmes were in two groups – 1-7 being cottons with the fast spin, 8 onwards being the easycare/woollens etc. Therefore, 7 should be fast spin.

    Hope that’s some use,

There is a TEBA agent who is a trade member of this site – hangfire and he’ll get in touch. In the meantime please post up the model number and colour of the hob.

Are we looking at some sort of declaration of intent here Alex? This forum is for free expression albeit confidentially….. We need to give any interested parties a bit of time to respond if they wish.

Or we start another forum 🙄 …………..

It runs on the shaft, so it should be absolutely smooth and no notches. Torx screws can be a real swine……
