David Moorcroft has issued proceedings against those two for breech of personal copyright (probably a posh way of saying “Taking the p;ss”).

What’s the obsession with cobwebs about then, Oldtog? I’ve been a Terry Tog for years but don’t recall anything about cobwebs??

Anyway, great toolkits all contain a Wosser, a Doofer and several Widgets, not to mention the legendary Oojimiflip. And probably some Doodads as well.

All probably ideal for sorting out the problem with the left hand flugelhorn extension tube clutch assembly which is stopping the machine from spinning ……

I keep a chopstick in my tool box. Doesn’t do anything, but the customers wonder!

    Hi Don,
A kindred spirit ….. 2 up eh? It’s never happened before; got to be a good thing. We’ve only ever taken 2 series in the Windies, both 1/0; though I think there was a 2/2 tie once.

Not bad for two teams who can bat but can’t bowl. Mind you, got that sinking feeling when Hussein went second ball yesterday. But Hey! Only 28 to get – got to be OK.

13 – it was very funny. Did you know that years ago your lot beat Australia in a one dayer? Huge embarassment for the Aussies – that’s why they don’t visit when they tour any more.

With FHP (AEG), SOLE, CESET and SELNI motors you can shift the front pulley with an automotive type gear puller. They can excert up to 10 tonnes of force. Occasionally you have to load it up, go and have dinner and the come back and tap the assembly with a hammer – but it always shifts!

This doesn’t work for Hotpoint armatures. The pulley will NOt come off, But Hey! they’re cheap enough (while they last).

Mind you – I’ve also got an hydraulic puller that’ll do 50 tonnes and that’ll shift anything!

The bearings themselves are proprietory items that can be bought from any bearing/transmission wholesaler.

And it had a weird yellow transulcent plastic stretch v belt for the clutch motor. What about the Ariston 948/1258 series? Surely a spiritual successor! Blower motor at the bottom of the duct in front of the drum, door gasket a complete s@d to fit and as for the plastic clutch pulley……..
I think I just aged a few more years and lost some more hair,

Using an old Torx bit and an extension, give the heads a right whack! That usually cracks them ready to unscrew.

Check drain tube from back of fridge cooler plate. It should drain into the tray on top of the compressor, but they do get blocked. so the water drains down inside the fridge.

Switch off before you do anything.

The AEG circulation valve uses an AKO timer type motor to regulate their “distributor valve”. Perhaps a variation on the theme?

    Correct WCDA,

Add also that hot water, especially from an immersion system, is dirty water (that’s why nobody fills the kettle from the hot tap) and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. Not to mention the reduction in wash time by reducing the “hold for heat phase”. Ain’t much going to come clean and the level system on a baffle fill machine will quickly clog.

    I love the public.

Current commercial d/w’s still work on the same same basic principle – dump valve, separate boiler; some have the removable central tube for the “end of day” drain. Dead easy unless the programme device (could be timer, could be electronc) fails. Then it can get really SCARY. Mind you, they’re in pubs, restaurants etc & desperation is a wonderful thing!
