Correct repair is to chop out the broken wires above and below the pivot point of the door and replace with new wiring and connectors. Any competent repairer should be able to deal with this.

Whirlpool do not currently offer a new loom as a spare part.

    HERE.

Readings are in kOhms, but……… These damn things work or they don’t, regardless of what the meter says. Reading should fall as the temperature rises.

Re: CDA CW496 LED Flashes 4 Times

F4 – no drain detected in the time allowed. If there’s still water in it, you have a blockage or a drain pump failure. If it’s empty and does it, the water indicator (The black grid in the sump) will be full of fatty deposits and will need stripping and cleaning. If it still does it, replace the water indicator as the microswitch will probably have failed.

Continuous flashing indicates the NTC temperatuer sensor being at fault. If you’ve replaced it and are certain that the start lamp is flash is continuous, it has to be the pcb; there’s nothing else.

Time-out on fill. Water supply (tap/kinked fill hose), failed inlet valve or faulty flow meter are all possible culprits.

Not enough info to go on, Gary.

After fill, you should get circulation. After circulation, heat and drain depending on what you’ve set. Please supply more detail.

    Re: F&P GW703 code 00110000

Odd one – code suggests that both inlet valves have a problem. Valves may be faulty but it’s a bit unlikely both will go wrong together. Check wiring and connectors is the place to start.
