    NEFF/Siemens/Bosch – different badges, same company…..

Not so much expensive tastes, just an absolute certainty that you will get what you are prepared to pay for! Your old Diplomat/SMEG was not a cheap appliance.

Your link looks decent enough – 2 year warranty as well.

The circulation pump is almost certainly the culprit. If the shaft seal is weeping the water will be getting into the front motor bearing, which can make the motor run slow.

The other possibility is that the machine is underfilling – try adding a couple of extra pints of water after circulation starts.

PCB is corrupted – a fairly classic description. However………. You need to have a read of THIS ARTICLE before rushing off and buying a new part.

Possibly 02-600472 – not that it will help much. When it sticks, does it heat? Machine will probably use static heat – thermostat restarts the timer when the circuit completes.

F3 means no heat detected in the time allowed. Heater failure, burnt-out wiring to heater or pcb problems are all possible.

Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Re: Eurolec DW-004 Dishwasher Door Brake??

You’re going to have to get the side panels off and have a look. This machine uses a metal strap attached to a spring to counterbalance the door. The strap, it’s link or the spring may have failed.

Power off first and be very aware of sharp edges in the machine.

    PCB=module=computer board………

Unless you can spot any obvious damage (ie, blown tracks) on the pcb, damage will almost certainly be corruption of the processor. This means that the board must be a replaced as an assembly. BSH offer no components other than the complete board.

Cost is really the issue. Suppressor is cheap enough, but the board will be over £100 and usually needs configuring. An instruction sheet is normally enclosed but isn’t particularly intuitive to follow!

A repairer will charge for at least a full hours work. Rates vary widely around the country, so if you choose top go that route ask when you mae the call.

Put the thing into the context of a comparable replacement – will you save a bit of cash? It’s an important consideration in these rather straitened times.

I would imagine that the repeated attempts to run the machine with the damaged suppressor will have damaged the pcb.

Doesn’t sound very hopeful……. Broken wiring in the door, perhaps?

    The computer is goosed.

The regular trade members who post in these forums get fed up with repeating that for most Indesit/Hotpoint/Ariston machines with “illogical” faults and even lots of logical ones.

Your cheapest option is to phone the Indesit Company and use your 5 year parts warranty. Pay them £100 and get the parts for free. Oh yes, the nice girl in the call centre will try very hard to sell you an extended warranty whilst you’re on the phone.
