Re: BEKO slimline dishwasher – stuck on drain

Flood protection operating? Base tray full of water will operate the anti-flood float switch and turn the drain pump on until the water level drops. Drain the tray and see what happens. If it does it again, you’re playing “Find the leak”.

    Power off first, mind.

P/no 151326 – limiter – may have failed. White ceramic block next to the fan motor, should read normally closed when metered.

    Power off first, please.

If it needs parts, you’d better read THIS.

De De is an expensive nightmare – the pcb feeding the side which has failed will have blown – if you’ve got a firm prepared to the job for £120, bite their hand off or be very careful – the part alone will cost considerably more than that.

Re: Beko WMA727 W leaking from bottom of machine.

I would pull the machine out, put a load in and set it off; with the lid off.

    Consider:
If you had a weeping fill hose, the leak would be constant.
If the leak was from the underside of the machine, the leak would be constant whilst the machine has water in it. Slide a sheet of newspaper under the machine during the wash phase to check.
If the leak is intermittent and, later in the wash, the leak may be from the top of the machine when it goes into spin. Most Beko appliances have a breather hose on the top of the drum; it’s also possible that water is being thrown back through the dispenser if the drain flow is restricted – clear the filter to be sure.

Power off for anything other than observation.

Looks like a couple of screws at the side of the front panel at the bottom, then the panel pulls down to release. Door can stay on.

Shock absorbers are p/no 4812 466 48057 – you’ll need two. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get them for you promptly. Seeing as you’re going under the machine to fit these, it’s worth checking the state of wear of the carbon brushes in the drive motor at the same time as they are a consummable item.

He hasn’t got access – the one in the trade forum was moved there when Neon got his trade access. I have told Gandh1 to apply several times.

This thread has repeatedly asked posters for the model number of the appliance and nobody bothers. If you want a part number identifying, state the model number.

Check that there are not two or three extra screws to undo in the back of the lid. Otherwise, it’s lift slightly and wiggle vigorously ’til it gives in.

Re: Whirlpool AWM8163GB Vibration, drum bounce

Iadom posted a similar reply earlier today, which basically says, “Think car shock absorber”. Push the drum down and release – the drum should rise up and stop. No bounces, vibrations, wobbles. If the drum pushes down very easily (remember that you’re pushing against the force of the tub springs), you’ll need to change the dampers. Also worth checking the filter and sink coupling (if appropriate) – restricted flow of water will cause excess vibration and drum movement.
