It does sound like a user board issue….. Have you tried cancelling off the programme completely? Press and hold the start button until the lamp goes out, shut the door, drain pump should run for approximately one minute. When it stops you should be able to reprogramme it.

There’s a reasonable selection to have a look at HERE on the Maplins site.

Yours is one of the later machines, so the burnt-out joints on the pcb are not a regular problem. However, underfilling is – especially in view of your “scale” comments.

Remove plug, lid, door outer, side panels and lower cover plate.

Clean the hose shown in the second picture thoroughly:

Then dismantle and thoroughly clean the water level control shown in the first picture.

On the right hand side, check the heater for resistance with your test meter – 25-30 ohms is acceptable. Its the plastic box next to the circulation pump.

Re: Hoover Fridge Freezer HCA390FFK Over freezing

Electronic temperature control on this one. Uses foamed-in sensors for fridge and freezer connected to an electronic board. Either sensor could be at fault, or the pcb itself.

No quick and easy answer to this one, I’m afraid. Power off if you are going in……

It is a W487. Unable to programme it. Down loaded user manual and turned off the child lock function………

MrsP’s going to take one look at it and go “Mine…..”

    This should help:

Clips are fiddly, otherwise quite straightforward.

    Re: Whirlpool ADP4602AL

Element is the prime suspect. Burnt out wiring can cause the same problem. PCB can fail to turn the heater on, but is unlikely to blow the fuse.

Only surefire way to find out is to get the multimeter out and perform a continuity test – heater should read around 25 ohms with no earth leakage.

THIS is the replacement element if required.

Stay safe, turn the power off before removing the bottom.

Re: AEB B4101-4 Oven switching off after 20 mins

If the cooling fan does not come on, the oven will overheat and shut down. If that is the case, you need THIS CHAP.

Power off if you intend to fit this yourself.

Corruption issues rife – hook up an inlet valve on the dispenser leads and see what happens.
